Strictly looking at efficiency, the Nazi gas chambers were the most efficient. (That's not to say that I advocate that, but the question was which method is more efficient.)

No it's not. In many beheading, the act happened so quick with the Guillotine the head was still looking around with a panic after being separated from the body. This was thought to be a barbaric way of execution after this being reported.

Personally, I'm in favor of using hydrochloric acid for the death penalty. If someone has done something so wrong that they are condemned to death, I don't give a whooping-fundt is the method is humane or not.
You can use the same vat of acid over and over again. Drop 'em in, watch 'em snuff it, cover it back up until you need to use it again.

Maybe, but it's not cost effective or easily transported. The drugs they get for the lethal injections, they get those by the barrel for cheap.

yeah, but as society has progressed, the punishment is no longer seen as acceptable.
it seems efficient, but wouldnt it be terrible waiting in line o be exectuted- having to watch everybody before you, and when your turn comes- the device is blunt!!
