any Indian citizen above the age of of 18 years can votein elections irrespective of their caste ,religion,status or sex.this is known as adult franchise

If a franchise can be excercised, based only on age and not on any other criteria, it is known as adult franchise.

In India, anyone who is aged 18 and above can excercise franchise irrespective of case, creed or education. This system is an example of adult franchise.
