According to the doctrine of original sin, any infant who dies before being baptised goes directly to hell for all eternity. Also children born out of wedlock or "bastards" are similarily condemned to hell for eternity and cannot atone for the sin because they did not commit it. THESE ARE FACTS If you do not agree that these are facts go read the bible or answer some other question. If you cannot say anything intelligent I don't want to hear from you.

they are also "facts" that come from the king james VERSION of the bible.... the one he felt was the true and accurate translation of the original texts.

There are several places in the bible that contradict this and many more statements.

Children are innocents. pure plain and simple. What we make our live counts for something.

Since everyone wants chapter and verse, I thought I'd help you out a bit here...

Deuteronomy 23:2 says that bastards can not attend church unto the tenth generation.

Now, if a child cannot attend church, it cannot recieve blessings, holy sacraments, perform sacrifices, etc. It is cut off from God. In the context of the Old Testament, it would of course, burn in Hell for eternity.

This brings about some problems with the story of Jesus. Jesus was raised under the laws of the Torah. If Joseph was not his father, then he was a bastard and would have been cut off from God. Yet we see him as a child talking to the holy teachers in the temple. If Jesus was spawned by Jehovah, and not Joseph as the Bible claims then he is a bastard.

As such, Jesus could not even step on the ground upon which the Temple sat, much less be a religious leader. This is where history and dogma collide.

If Jesus could not step on church grounds, enter the Temple, or be a religious leader according to Torah law, then he was cut off from God. That alone completely invalidates the notion of Christs divinity, and the entire New Testament.

In fact, according to the Torah, if Joseph was not the actual father of Jesus, then he (Jesus) is eternally cut off from God and is currently burning in Hell even as we speak.

However, Jesus supported the Torah, so it must be concluded that he was indeed the son of Joseph, and not God. The fact that the New Testament describes him on Temple grounds several times is also evidence of his legitimacy by Joseph. It must be remembered here that if the priests had believed he was NOT Josephs son, he would never have been allowed anywhere near the Temple.

His support of Torah law also means that Jesus himself believed that a bastard child should be cut off from God and burn in Hell eternally. Jesus supported ALL of the laws and beliefs of the Torah, including the various theological reasons children should be murdered for breaking the law.

You're right about the doctrine of original sin, but no one knows how a merciful God actually deals with those who are stained by the sin of our first parents, but bear no personal guilt for it.

To assume that they go to hell is a bit much.

All we can do is trust God to do what's right.

As for those you call "bastards" baptism is certainly available to resolve any issues there.

It's important not to take scripture so literally that you risk accusing God of ignoring his own law of love.

It's not a matter of original sin - it is a matter of genetics. Satan seduced Eve and we are the offspring of Satan and Eve. Thus, Christ said "you are of your father, the devil". Are you familiar with the biblical image of a snake being crucified - which was Christ, taking Satan in the form of the human body He took upon Himself, and nailing it to the cross. Had this not happened, humans would not be able to be in God's presence after death. The concept of people going to hell and children going to hell are simply religious scare tactics - note that Christ never said this to anyone - he never said someone was going to hell.

According to the bible, hell was created for Satan and his angelic followers. God rectified the problem of Satan's intervention with humankind by reconciling God and man through His son. There is a lot of misunderstanding when it comes to punishment in the next life. Not all will enter the kingdom of heaven (which will last for 1,000 years) - that is a reward - however, regarding eternity and Satan's presence in humanity, that was resolved 2,000 years ago.

That isn't true. One example in the Bible, when King David's son was sick, he mourned his dying baby. But when the baby finally died, he cleaned himself up and ate. When he was asked about his change in his behavior after his son died, he said that he can't see him now anymore, but he'll see him in heaven. This baby was conceived in sin. King David had favor with God and I think he would know if he was going to see his son again or not.

If you're looking for someone to validate your error, keep your questions off yahoo. If you know what you are saying is a fact, what's the darn question? You already "know" the answer.

So you read your Bible, and support your statement.

There is no "Why", because it isn't true. My first words to you were, "That isn't true." My reading is just fine. Yours seems to be lacking and selective.

According to my faith in Islam, original sin does not exist. Babies are born pure and innocent. They do not inherit sin from Adam or her/his parents.

We strongly believe the Bible was tampered with. If I were you, I would not put all my faith in it. Explore Islam and the Holy Qur'an.
