You should be very proud that a 2 year old is recognizing that he has to pee! That's very good especially for a boy.

There are probably multiple reasons, including that he may need help with his pants or washing hands or whatnot, and also he wants some recognition. This is very normal and the positive reinforcement is what is helping him learn.

Don't worry, as he gets better at it he will do it by himself, even INSISTING on doing it himself!

My 3 year old daughter does the same thing. Every time she has to go to the bathroom (whether it is just to pee or both pee and poo) she lets me know. She won't stop saying it until I answer her either. She will grow out of it I am sure, she has been potty trained since she was 18 months, so its not a matter of being recently trained. He just wants to let mommy know that he is being a good boy and going in the toilet like a big boy!
Relax, it'll pass! :-)

Because he wants her to be there to help him most likely. Most 2 year olds I know can't undress or redress themselves. In time this behavior will diminish but until it does just be glad your 2 year old is peeing in the potty!

Because he is a baby still!! My kids still say that they have to go pee when they are 5 and 6 years old. Most likely he wasnt potty trained too long ago, and wants to let her know he is going good. Take it all in strive and be happy he is potty trained so young!

Why does this bother you? That is normal for a 2 year old.

because she(mother) trianed him and he will out grown this by time he is 3 years old. or older she trained him by asking him all the time if he has to go... it's a part of life so don't push it or he will not go at all to the bathroom and start going in pants again...next time he goes by him/her self praise him for being a big kid and doing things on his own.

My daughter does that for the praises. When you know that he's acknowledging the need, this means to him that he's done good. He's looking for you to be excited with him since he's getting this whole potty thing figured out.

This is entirely age appropriate, as is 'mistakes' at that age. Count your blessings that he is interested in going, lots of 2 year olds aren't.
