Yes it's normal. Rarely it can be as big as a finger! Sensitivity may not be related to the size, ask her what she likes and dislikes.
I wouldn't recommend surgery unless she's really uncomfortable since it could change the feeling. Some lesbians do appreciate bigger ones...
