Keep trying new and clever ways to compliment her. Something from the heart about her personality, talents, or mind rather than her looks might make her feel incredible then just saying "you are beautiful". Woman hear things about their looks all the time from dudes who just want to get in their pants so it has less value to them. When you are really close and in a serious committed relationship then a compliment about her looks has more meaning.

Depends... a compliment without any backing to it (ie. do you REALLY mean it) can be taken more offensively than well.
Sometimes girls can get the wrong impression, but if you say something that sounds like your just asking for 'favours', then I think that most girls would rather you just say what you REALLY want.
I don't know... just my thoughts. Don't take my word for it!

As a girl, I personally don't know how to accept compliments. It's strange and my response varies on how awkward the compliment is. How does one reply to "you look sexy?" Thanks? Oh, I actually used shampoo this morning? It's weird. If she's the same as me, she loves the compliments, but doesn't know how to respond to it. I'm unsure as to whether or not that's the case, but keep it in mind.

Yes, it is not because she doesn't like you, it's because she is either embarrassed/shy or not very confident. Just look her in the eyes and tell her she is beautiful and then kiss her on the lips. HTH : )

I love compliments....when I believe there is sincerity behind it. Perhaps the girl you're complimenting doesn't believe that you're sincere.

maybe it embarrasses her or maybe she really thinks she is not attractive. Look her in the eye, tell her you mean it, and for her to just say "thankyou".

some girls would think your saying that not to be nice, i don't know why i would think its nice but hey some people are like that.

girls think its attractive to appear modest rather than cocky. you wouldnt be more attracted to a girl who says like "damn right im hot!!!" would you?
