There are alot of good coffee makers out there. Find one with the features on it that you want. I buy and grind my own beans. You can keep coffee beans in the freezer for up to one year. That way, you are always assured of freshness. The strongness of the coffee depends on how strong you make it.

i use cuban coffee (pilon, bustelo are 2 popular brands) in a french press. it comes out good and strong but not as strong as if you made it in an espresso maker. most coffee people agree french presses are the way to go. a friend of mine even has a travel cup with built in french press. i'm jealous.

I like my coffee like I like my women - hot, bitter, and energizing. I hand pour through a cone-filter. I prefer french-roast and colombian, ground from whole-beans I keep in a gallon-jar.

bunn coffee makers are the best. they are fast and all the resturaunts use them because they last forever. my dad bought one and has had it for years, it's as good as new!
