TerryT and the Riddler, So you guys think the answer to joy is sex...Not...You're far more valuable to God than that. I hope that you find out what it is for yourself. And if you thought your answers were cute or funny...I didn't see ANYBODY laughing at the sinners wallowing in sins of the flesh.

Cancerlady, That's a different nickname. Did you have cancer? or do you currently have cancer ? I ask because I did, four times. I'm clean now for six years. I wish the best for you. By the way, money is not even close to JOY in the dictionary or in the BIBLE. You're looking for JOY in the wrong places. Don't listen to me, listen and hear all the truly JOYFUL experiences related to you by these good people who responded. Seek the Lord and you will FIND HIM. Gd Bless You

Lotsa good answers. It's good to see happiness and joy. I think Eva summed it up for all of us. Read her response. And read all the other good responses to remind ourselves of His LOVE. God Bless

I used to be a slave to the flesh. I couldn't go a day without a cigarette or weed or alcohol or drugs or sex or porn or doing other evil things like lieing or stealing or whatever. I used to hate life and long for death. "What's the point of living." right? The world is full of hate and noone loves me or will accept the true, real, inner me. I always felt I had to put on a show for the world. I was really just trying to hide the sadness inside.

I thought Success in the job market would bring me happiness. I had a job making nearly $30,000 a year after taxes. I had a car and a place of my own. None of this ever filled the emptiness.

Once in a while I would meet a woman and as always get infatuated. They never could give their heart to me, although the rear end was always available. Still no fulfillment.

What is the point of living when there are any places in your heart full of darkness? This is a question I asked. This is not for you.

I am full of all joy and happiness today because I realized why I was sad and empty inside.

I am happiest when I am financially secure and working at a job that I like. I am also happy when I can reach out to another individual and lend a helping hand. Those are just two things that make me happy. There are many more. One reason that financial security brings happiness to me is I can't help someone else financially if I have no money.

I get joy when I think about what God has done for me. That is a very true statement in my life. I have been through some struggles that I don't even talk about because most people don't believe it when I tell them. I have been told that I am strong, but it has nothing to do with any strength I could ever have. But when I think about all the miracles God has done in my life it makes me feel very good, even on a bad day.

I keep a journal of my life so I have a reminder of these good things.

Good question.

Oh yes I have the joy bug doing a jig right now after 21 hours with no sleep....and no visible sign that I will get any sleep anytime in the near future. My children and my husband generally make me happy. However, at this point 10-12 uninterrupted sleep would run a darn close second to both.

It all depends on the day.A hug or smile from a loved one.A simple act of kindness from a stranger such as opening a door when I'm loaded down with bags.Giving up my seat on the bus or subway to an older person. And seeing relief in their face .Sometimes just the very thought that I am alive. If you look for joy ,you will find it in the simplest things.

What would make me truly Happy? What would truly brings me Joy? That is simple! That you, bottles, get some help for your obsession with religion by way of how you insist on putting a twist on ALL (and I truly mean ALL) questions you post under that heading. You need to see a shrink.

The only thing that brings me joy in this world is spending time with the kiddies in my family!

I get a chance to teach them. I get a chance to help the future through them.

They are bright. They are fearless. And I get to have an impact on what they become!

Have fun but be safe!

Baby Dream!
