Is it just me or does it seem like the people asking questions regarding illegal immigrants (and I am talking about the negative ones) are, while spouting their rhetoric, sounding more and more like the Nazis did in their propoganda about the Jews?
Thinking maybe some people should stop feeling so superior and start acting like compassionate human beings.

FAIRYDUST: Talking strictly about immigration issues in North America (I don't really know anything about any immigration issues in Australia, so I won't even try to comment on it) do you know why there are so many illegal immigrants. Do you realize the financial requirements it takes to become an American or Canadian citizen? It used to be that we woudl take "the huddled masses" and that one without money could legally immigrate, but now if you don't have money or or if you aren't being threatened with death by a "terrorist nation" you're hooped.
Jamie: Sounds good but don't you think your wife and my husband would mind a little.

thanks for your question . we could all be helping each other instead of showing ignorance by being intolerant . we don't need to show the worst of each other to make a point across .
i don't think Americans would be happy if we who support the undocumented workers and their legalization only pick up the negative things about Americans and went telling them around the world just to produce the hate of the world over America .
but i understand why they ( racist and the miss-inform ) do it . it is because they do not have anything productive to say or to do . that people should try to find a job instead of being giving a bad name to all Americans .
may a fair and tolerant America live forever .

Most people "assume" all illegal immigrants are Mexican because of the below facts... I live in a small Midwest city and I'd say over half the town are illegal immigrants. The ones from Mexico. On any given day the police arrest 2 or 3 for driving with no valid license or insurance. Before you ask how I know, I work for the police department. I also speak spanish and understand what they say when they come in. They never show up for court because the name they gave the officer is fake. With no ID we have no way to prove otherwise. And no, they don't fingerprint on traffic offenses. I am a compassionate human being, my husband is an immigrant from Cuba. He is now a US citizen and speaks english. He had a residency card before he became a citizen. I don't think all Mexican people are bad and I am sure that not too many people on this board do either. I just think that people need to go about coming to this country legally and not how they currently are coming. We had a murder in town that took 2yrs to find the guy because he changed his name so many times. They finally found him in another state, he confessed !!! He was going by yet another name. If he hadn't confessed, he would have gotten off scott free !! There is no way of tracking illegals, no matter what the race if they have no identifiers such as a social security number , etc. They can commit crime and go back to their native country, no problem. I pay my taxes every year, I do not claim 6 dependants so that I get less taken out, I make too much money...ha... to get any government aid, yet I pay for a lot of these peoples kids to go to school, the doctor, their rent. Enough of what I think, below are some statistics from a website, you can look it up for yourself as well.
1. The number of illegal immigrants in the United States may be 20 million people or higher.
2. The total number of legalized immigrants accepted by The United States since 1990 has averaged 962,000 per year--about 600,000 of them were already in the country.
3. Several credible studies[citation needed] indicate that the number of illegal entries has recently crept up to 3 million per year, triple the authorized immigration figure.
4. Undocumented immigrants are gaining a larger share of the job market, and hold approximately 12 to 15 million jobs in the United States (8% of the employed).
5. Close to 80% of all illegal immigrants came from Mexico.

Loki, I think you are right on with the points that you make and your question is a valid one. Yes people are getting way too intolerant and ignorant, especially people like fairydust. People like fairydust are the same type of people that blindly followed Hitler when he used Jews as scapegoats for all of Germany's problems. I have read a lot of questions and comments made by fairydust and it seems like she is using Mexicans as scapegoats for all of Americas problems.

Yeah, but what else would you expect from a world, tainted with evil? Though the events of the Holocaust is no more than yesterday's history, the ideas subsisted through time, only to contribute to today's corruption. We all want to see unity and peace among the varying races; former racists purging their hatred for an exchange for compassion towards a differing race. I guess we just have to continue waiting.
I forgot to add something about the illegal immigration situation.
People who aren't effected by it tend to perceive illegal immigration as no threat what so ever. People who are effected by it, and in a negative way, tend to display vexation towards the issue. As far as the people who ask about this topic, they just want to express themselves and explore the minds of other people, gathering more insight on the issue to either retain their opinion or to alter it.
As far as being compassionate, you just have to be careful about the people you want to be amicable to.

Well, Your " Question" seems to be more like a statement to me.
If you think illegal immigration is a good thing, even though it is a crime great for you ! Why don't you support with your OWN money all those families??
If you don't like the idea of illegal immigration, That is up to you!!

When i am entering America, i show my passport, papers drivers license and birth certificate, and i am told to stay as long as i please, I had to go througha process for dual citizenship, So why should illegals be able to jump a fence,

intolerant ?? Yep I am very intolerant of the ILLEGAL scum that that has been invading / infesting this country like roaches / rats for the last ten years or so.
Yep, good example ..Jews / Illegals... Maybe this should be a warning, that Maybe history is on the verge of repeating it's self again. intoleranance breeds Indifference & that breeds possible liquidation of a sub human group of people from south of the Rio Grande that came here illegally. If it happened in Europe 60+ yrs ago..It could happen here.... Illegals should walking on egg shells, not protesting & irritating Hard working Tax paying legal Americans...... Some people are "intolerant" because there has been too much tolerance. Do you have any idea how much (BILLIONS) you and all taxpayers are paying for millions of births to illegal aliens each year? What if Americans went to another country illegaly could they expect to have their babies free then get on WIC, Foodstamps, welfare, and free health care?

Thanks for making such an obivious point...You should get 10 points for asking this question...The Jews were seen as scum and most people say, oh they were legal, how dare you compare this issue to what happened to the Jews....But the point is about human rights, not about nationality!
