lol I'm laughing so hard you guys! you can't truly beleive even half of what you wrote. Come on! first off we beleive Jesus died for our sins and that he is the Savior redemer of this earth. We beleive in the Bible and the book of Mormon (called Mormon because of the man who compiled them) the Book of Mormon talks about Jesus all the way throu. We beleive we (all of us on earth) are the litteral children of God and that he wants us to be like him some day and that that is why we are here.

while I do not want to offend, I ask you this,
why is it that the Book of Mormon though transcribed from the Golden Plates in or about the year 1830, was written in the same style and form of the King James Bible of 1611? doe it not seem strange and questionable that the book was written in that way when the language o f 1611, with the thou's and ye's and thee's was no longer the contemporary language?
And why, if the Book of Mormon was the food( witness of Christ to those of the Americas) for those on the American continent, was it revealed to the man Joseph Smith who already had the food that was the Bible?
these two observations make the Book of Mormon as an authentic revelation of Jesus highly suspect.
But that is just my opinion.
Feel free to believe what you will. And I wiil be free to believe what I will.

First satan and Jesus Christ were not brothers.
Second you claim that Joseph Smith got his revelation from an angle and that he was told that if he did not interrupt the writing correctly he would die, he stated that he missed it several times yet he did not die.
Third you use words that he and Brigham Young wrote as equal to the Holy Bible.
Forth you claim that your prophets are never wrong however when Utah wanted to become a state your prophet change his reading of the book to say that being married to more than one women was wrong. Also your prophets said that black people had the mark of satan and never could change it yet once again that was changed in the late 1960's or early 1970's again when the government told them that they had to.
The Holy Bible is the only authority and not any other book!

Don't mormons think Jesus was only a profit. Christians believe (At least most Christians) believe Jesus is God, who came down in the flesh, to show us how to live and pray, and then died for our sins (physically) even knowing he would be hated.

This was an analogy that helped me understand this. If you are a Dad, or someday will be....or can imagine this...
Are you a father, are you a son, do you have a spirit? Well to me Jesus is the father, the son and the holy spirit...not as a trinity but one.

Tons of people spoke with Jesus. You only focus on a prophet who traveled north with more than one wife. SINFUL. Mormons think sinfully... which is not Christian. Taking teth out of paychecks, being able to dominate political changes, bomb shelters are strictly for the Mormon, and the attitude you have towards NON Mormons is very sinful. You lack LOVE, KINDNESS, and most of all EMPATHY, which are attributes of a true Christian. Love Thy Neighbor No Matter What that person may do in their lives. You try to CONVERT a person to be Mormon, try teaching. You talk down to people because they believe other wise. In my opinion, this is your way of being 'UNIQUE' so you can live anyway you feel fit, and have a falseness's about argument. You name schools, streets, etc after this prophet. Where are the schools and streets that are named after Jesus? Jesus Christ ... my lord. Of where? Later Day Saints... did those saints die on the cross too?

It has to do with the fact that you don't view us in the same way as you and you say that we are deluded and don't have the fullness of the teaching.
It has to do with what Joseph Smith and the others understood about a number of cardinal doctrines (sin, baptism, salvation, the nature of God) and how their understanding is at variance with the documented beliefs of the church for 1800+ years.
It has to do with the fact that you look in books which are ones that the church has not had since the beginning and whose teachings are at variance among them let alone at variance with the Bible.
Notice that I did not talk about the archaeology of the Book of Mormon and the anthropology of the Book of Mormon. These are secondary problems that while they exist are not affecting cardinal doctrines of the historic Christian church.
This is serious business and I gave a serious answer to your questions. Choosing a denomination of church is not like choosing which shirt to wear today. It has eternal consequences for which church you go to and what you follow.

Because according to the rest of Christianity, the Church of Jesus Christ includes all saints, former-day as well as latter-day, and it also includes sinners.

It teaches that there is only one God in three Divine Persons, otherwise known as the Trinity. From what I understand, Mormons don't believe this. Mormons believe that we can all become gods of our own little universes.

Christianity welcomes all into all their places of worship, before and after those places have been consecrated. Mormons welcome Gentiles into their temples only before the temples are consecrated.

Christianity believes that marriage is only until death, though love may endure forever. Mormonism believes in eternal marriage, which, because of death and remarriage in this life, must admit of polygamy in the next life.

Christianity admits at least some individual thought and even debate without fear of reprisal from the church community (at least nowadays). Mormonism is a bit less tolerant of differing views.

Christians agree that members of differing denominations within Christianity can marry without converting the other. Mormons are encouraged to convert their Gentile spouses within seven years or dissolve the marriage.

Finally, Christians believe that Jesus turned water into wine and not into grape juice. Therefore, Christians may drink wine in moderation. Mormons get by on Welch's.

Christians believe in the trinity, and we are told mormons do no believe in the trinity.
we are told that mormons believe...
God has one or more wives
Jesus is the result of Mary and joseph having sex
that each man will be god of thier own planet
husband and wife will be able to have spiritual children when they are dead
polygamists and only stopped because of government intervention

God said in Revelations 22:18-19 that the bible is closed thus having and extra book of faith is an insult to God.

YEAH! we belong to the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. Jospeh Smith was confused about religion so he read James 1:5 and went to the sacred grove to pray and ask which church was true. the devil came and bound his tongue but then God appeared and cast him out. "There were two personages, and they did in reality speak to me." so the priesthood was restored! this is 110% true. So we are definately Christians. Saying mormons aren't christians is like says that catholics aren't. and catholics are. we believe the bible! the bible rocks! mormons believe everything christians believe........ and more. it's so true! how can anyone not pay attention to how they feel when they read the Book of Mormon? that warm feeling? that "i wanna smile" feeling? that is the holy ghost. i've been mormon all my life and i love it. it's my greatest blessing. i LOVE it! and yes we believe Jesus died and was resurected! and we do NOT claim to be god. that's RIDICULOUS. we love jesus and know he's our savior. not only that, he's our friend! a christian is someone who believes in Jesus. we are christians. and we "love one another". we're trying to be like God. what i mean by that is we're trying not to sin, but to be good. and Revelations 22:18-19 was refering to the book of Revelations. which we believe by the way. how could that be an insult to God if he helped Joseph smith translate it? it's an ancient record translated by Joseph Smith of our fathers in the past. it's actually very exciting and spiritual.

The fact that Joseph Smith claimed to have received the Book of Mormon from an angel is a major problem in light of Galatians 1:8: "But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned!"

Christianity is the belief of the birth, death and resurrection of Christ Jesus, his ascension into heaven and the the full revelation of God in Him.

Mormons think Jesus did not die and resuurect, but rather his death wasn't real, his resurrection was more of a fake-out, and that he continued to wander the earth afterwards fathering children and starting new nations in America.

A couple of important points from christianity.

God is God; Humans are not God.
God will remain God; Humans will not become God.

Mormonism believes their faithful will become gods receiving there own star system and celestial wives and spirit babies in heaven.

Christianity believes we will enter into a direct fellowship with God, not becoming gods ourselves; that we are created, not the Creator. Christians hold that Satan's chief sin was to claim he would become like the Most High God, and that Mormons are also claimimng that they will become like the Most High God, and therefore Mormonism is more akin to Satan than it is to Christ.
