Heaven and hell are creations of the Christian religion, later copied and modified by Islam. they represent a goal and punishment for the way a person follows or deviates from the expected behavior, according to each religion.
the human creativity in describing heaven and hell reached its peak by the middle ages in Europe, probably in response to atheism.
other religions devised different rewards and punishments to keep their believers adhering to religious rules - Judaism claims Resurrection of the dead with the arrival of the Messiah, Hinduism proposes a cycle of souls in different living creatures, where the final goal is nirvana.
the vikings believed that a man who dies with his sword will reach Valhalla, etc.

There are different heavens and anyone who tells you what the highest heavens feel like is lying because the feeling can't be conveyed by mere words and no one who had any real conception of their nature would even try. The heaven you are thinking of is what Hindus and Buddhists call Devachen and it is the place where literally every thought, ambition, desire achieves material form. Everything you want to experience you can and will experience but it isn't a permanent state and you subsequently either progress to the higher realms or reincarnate.

Heaven is a reward for living a good Christian life. No one can describe it because you have to die to get there in theory. Heaven can be a place on earth like the Bangles sang about in the 80s though.

I guess that this answer is going to different for everyone. Myself I believe that heaven is right here on earth. Kind of like good and evil. I believe that there is heaven and hell right here. I believe it is all in the way we live our lives. For myself I feel that I lived in Hell for many years, that was when I lived enduring the abuse that other inflicted on me and then the abuse I inflicted on myself. When I was able to find myself, pick myself up and start living a good, clean, honest, and productive live, that is when I found HEAVEN.Hence why I think it is a state of living and being.

Heaven is happiness in your heart, your mind and your soul.. And happiness feels wonderful.
May you be surrounded with love and understanding for it is part of what we call heaven. This is my thoughts about it. We all have free choice in making our life heaven or hell for every choice leads to action and then consequences Heaven is inside of our heart not out there somewhere in the wast universe.

Haven't got to go yet,,but I know of people who have went like in a dream state..My mom for one when she was 9 years old..I never knew it until I got saved..When the Lord put it on my heart to forgive my mom for things, he clearly spoke to me and told me to ask her about when she was 9 years old..There was no way I was going to ask because she had a very hard life growing up and I thought if I would ask I would bring bad memories to her and I didn't want to hurt her..well,about 2 months went and gone and the Lord spoke to me again and asked me to ask my mom about when she was 9 again,,lol..no way was I,,lol..well I asked my sister to ask her and she did,,she called me back and my mom said oh, that was when she would go to heaven,,I freaked out because none of us knew this about her..but only one sister did and she never said nothing about it...It really made me so excited that the Lord wanted me to know, that he spent time with my mom when she was little and has always been there for her...

the thing is, people have opinions of what heaven is like, but no one truly knows. i would think you would have to die first, to know the answer to this question.
that is if there even is a heaven in the first place. no one truly knows that either. they just have faith.

"Heaven" is a state of bliss that a Soul earns for itself after it completed the comprehensive set of lessons and acquired the comprehensive set of virtues that are to be derived from life's experiences.
