It probably depends on what you're drinking, how much of it and how fast.

It really depends on your size/weight, how much you have had to drink and how much you are accustomed to drinking. If you don't ever drink, it will hit you much faster than if you are used to drinking on a regular basis. If you are drinking on an empty stomach it will hit you faster than if you have just eaten (fatty foods slow the absorbstion of alcohol). So, depending upon all that, and what type of drink you are having and how fast you are drinking, it could be 10/15 minutes and up

Alcohol takes 90 seconds to start affecting your brain, but that is the technical answer, just like one drink affecting you, so it probably isn't noticeable for a longer time.

It depends on your tolerance. If you are new to the "drinking club" not much at all. If this will be your first time to experiment with alcohol let me recommend "Purple Passions". That will be Vodka, and grape juice. Yuk!.. A long island tea would be great and you want need but one. It has 1oz of 5 white liquors in it. It also will knock you nuts. Believe me you will think you are drinking sweet tea for about twenty minutes, and then you will feel the alcohol, and will want to dance with your friend most of the night.
When you wake up the next morning after about five of those you will need tomato juice, bitters, tabasco sauce, salt and someone to hold you up in the shower.

Just think in twenty four hours the hang-over will be gone and you can repeat your experience the coming week-end. Man, do I ever remember those times.

Depends on your body mass, the alcohol in question, and your drinking experience. Look for a book called Buzzed.

30-90 minutes from the last drink to maximum concentrations in the blood. food in the stomach will delay absorption.

Ok, my husband was drinking beer and wine, and he didn't drink every day, but when he did drink he drank enough to where it was staying in his system for about 3 days...according to his blood tests anyway. He is 35 years old and he quit drinking 3 months ago when he was diagnossed with alcoholic hepititis and informed he would die within a few months if he continued to drink. His liver was failing and he had turned jaundice and his urine had turned very dark. He swore then he would never drink again and he hasn't, which surprises me but it is an eye opener when a doctor is telling you your going to die.
