our dogs are so used to the pee pad that now when they go outside they do nothing and then run back into the house and use the pee pad, how do I deal with this, do you scold for using the pee pad?? I don't know what to do in this situation.

Take the pee pad outside to the area you want your dogs to go. Slowly, make the pad smaller, until it would not be missed when it is totally gone. Leave the pee on the pad so that they will know what they are going out there for. That way, you can shape their behavior to what you are expecting.

Try putting the pee pad out side, they will smell the pee pad, outside, they know that is what they are supposed to use, they will get used to going outside,

Take the pad outside and put it in the area you want your dog to use. Do not continue to allow them to use the pee pad any longer. Leave the pee on the pad outside. Your dog will be looking for the scent. If it does go inside, use papertowels to clean it up, then put them outside in the designated area. It may be that your dog does not like the texture of the outside. Give possitive reinforcement when they do it right (happy, baby voices, and TREATS!) My old dog had the same problem, but when we put the scent outside, she followed the scent.

Put the pee pad just outside the door, after it has some urine on it for sent and to show your dog where you want it.

The best thing to do is when your dog goes outside. If they use it outside give them a treat. Start scalding them and don't put the pad down for them to use. Scold them for not going outside. Keep them outside for a little bit and let them use the bathroom in the time and give them a treat soon they'll see that everytime they go and use it outside they get rewarded. so they'll start using it outside.
