This is a good question if you are not sure because it could be uncomfortable for your pet if you insert the needle the wrong way.
The pointed edge goes in bottom down, leaving the opening facing up. As someone put it, like a spoon.
Be sure to grab an area of your pet that has loose skin and poke into the area so as to almost make a pocket and then stick the animal in this loose are. Rotate area of your pets back daily so they don't get sore form a constant injection spot.
My cat was diabetic for a while, I never liked to surprise her with the shot. She knew it was coming, I would let her sniff the needle and then give it to her and then pet the area.
She understood it was all out of love.
Good Question and good looking out for your pet's safety and comfort.

When you look at the tip of the needle, it is in a point. You'll notice only one side reached to the very end of the tip. So it looks kind of like a spoon. That spoon side is the bevel. So you want that to be on the top side when giving the injection.

1. Fuko's weapon from Flame of Recca. 2. Tsubasa Chronicles. 3. Fate/Stay Night. I didn't know but from your clue it's already obvious. 5. Zoro's weapon from One Piece? I never seen One Piece.(crappy tagalog dub eek!) 6. Kurapica's chains. HunterXHunter. 8. Is that Haji from Blood +? I thought he uses a cello. Damn me I should watch more Blood+. 9. That's Yuri's perverted sword. Kyo Kara Maou. 10. Sakura Kinomoto's staff. Cardcaptor Sakura. That's all I know.

Thats silly. I've been giving injections for years and never look. The only time I look is when drawing blood. Then the beveled side is up
