If you mean the sheets feel that way, it is probably because with age blended fabric sheets tent to "pile."

Pile means that tiny balls form and stick on the fabric surface. Sheets aren't the only fabric that does this... sweatshirt/sweatpants, sweaters, towels.... various items will do this but bedsheets in particular can be troublesome since our bare skin lies on the cloth.

A high quality blended sheet with a higher thread count as well as a higher percentile of cotton in the blend will lessen the chance of piling.

Better yet, 100% cotton sheets will not pile. But they are more likely to shrink and wrinkle.

Do you have dogs? Even though my bed is made, when I let my dogs on the bed the sand (from backyard) that they track in still sifts through the blankets somehow, I have to clean my sheets every couple of days because of this. (yes I could stop the dogs from coming on the bed, but it's a minor inconvenience)

Strongbad:

I think that you forgot to change the sheets after you went to the beach and had so many cookies in bed. Try new fresh linen with at least 200 thread count cotton. Shower before bed and use moisturizing lotion.

little beads on the fabric of your sheets may cause the feeling of crumbs in your bed, sometimes the thread count of your sheets is the cause of that try a higher thread count on your sheet, they will fell smoother after prolonged useage and washings

yer a dirty mofo and you don't clean yer digs. Probably got roaches and bedbugs too huh?

Actually the chicks above are right. Look at your sheets closely. From wear and tear (tossing and turning), the sheets get little balls from the ends of the material being worn. You need new sheets.

I read all the other answers. Seems most people covered all the bases.......if sheets have fuzz balls on them, then get new sheets. If they don't, wash them.

(I assume that you are not into meth......if you are that is a potential side effect. Not sheets exactly, but the feeling on your skin that you decribed, some describe it as "creepy crawly" or fabrics will not feel right.)

you got crumbs or sand on your bed in some way, shape, or fashion...dust them off, and just do not bother asking about something so stupid questions.

You could have real small lint balls, if this is the case you might get them off with tape. Any type will do but I think duck tape is the best.
