It is not wisdom teeth, mine have been removed. Its not in my gum, its in my cheek. Its not a tumor, it goes away and then comes back. I think it is a swollen salivary gland, but I do not get why it only happens on one side, and goes away and then comes back.

If it's in your cheek, I'd suggest it may be a blocked salivary duct. That would be the "easy" answer, though. There are many things that can occur in the soft tissue and you need proper diagnosis. The worst case is that it's some kind of tumor. You do not want to risk choosing a "Best Answer" on Yahoo! and ignoring proper treatment.

could be a blocked salivary gland, could be an infection or abcess. You should see a Dr or a dentist...

Sounds like it could be an ulcer. I would call a dentist right away, because it could get bigger, and the pain will increase alot. If it breaks open you might get really sick.

Sounds like an abcessed tooth which requires antibiotics. See your dentist.

i have one too.
mines always thier
and sometimes its smaller sometimes its huge.
my doctor said its just a salivary gland. and that its nothing to worry about. i can also move mine around .. weird huh?

NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT. I'VE HAD ONE SINCE 4TH GR. JUST A GLAND I NOTICE MY 2YR OLD SON HAS IT TOO. I'AM 41 ONE NOW AND HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH IT. MY DENTIST SAID IT WAS A GLAND

You need to go to the dentist.. you might have an abscess....
