accessmem,I do transcendent meditation focused on God,I can discern in the heart many things of God,I have not yet reached that state of losing "sense of self"for good.I ask you,am I missing something??

Meditation can be done with anything to hold on to. Any single thought , pursued with single minded effort is a meditation. . God , rather God`s name or his Image if you have , can also one such tool or support to meditate on.That is if you believe in.
