Live your life the best you can.
You can't change your parents - it's they way they are for whatever reason.
After a while, they can't deny that you are happy with your choice of company and it may turn out that they'll come around.
It can happen.

I hate to say this, but YES they are racist.
It is a shame how one color can feel so negative towards another one. Just a shame. I wish they would realize that this is just as bad as any other sin. We are all human beings. God made us all.
My family downgraded me fora long time. Everyone except the Christians. My daughters helped me thru it all. Now I am all alone because of pleasing my family. They would rather me live with an abusive white man than be happy with any other color.
You are in a bad situation and I wish you all the luck in the world. Pray that God will open your families eyes and heart.

Well this is very sad.

I hate it when people judge other people, specially about the color of their skin, Of course your parents are racists.

You need to tell them, that you are not like them, you see beyond the color of people's skin, and that they need to realize slavery is long gone, just because someone is black don't mean they are going to cause trouble or rob people.

There is many successful black people in the world today, as well as many psycho white killers out there.

People's action are not reflected on their skin.

Your parents need to grow up and stop judging other people.

Yeah it’s clear they are being racist that’s pretty obvious. I guess you could have a discussion on why they feel this way, try to introduce them to some of your black friends. If they don’t change you really can’t do anything. Just continue to be who you are and be friends as well as date whomever you want, no matter what their race is.

It sounds like they are. You will just have to deal with it for now. They are your parents & can tell you what to do. If they are the way you say they are, I wouldn't bring your friends around them unless you have to, could end up causing trouble for you. Just avoid the subject as much as you can so they won't tell you that you can't be friends with your friends anymore.

i think of numerous this is going to count on the the remainder of the kinfolk dynamic. If breaking the regulations might placed the baby in risk, then as undesirable simply by fact the racist regulations are it may desire to finally be greater desirable for the baby to maintain on with them until he or she is sufficiently previous to get out of the domicile and be secure. yet whilst they do no longer seem to be in risk, i do no longer see the income in forcing them to be racist.

It may be how your parents were raised. I'd say obey your parents, and keep peace in your home. You can have blacks as your acquaintances, but don't offend your parents in their home. When you are old enough to move out of their house, then you can have any friend you desire.

Do that and when they ask why you chose this approach, tell them a Black man told you. (Smile-lol)
