If you dont know the motive then i would just be nice and keep her at arms length and dont share anything going on in your life with her...Let her in slowly...

I think it's nice when someone tries to be more friendly. She probably wants to know you better and become a good friend of yours. She probably doesn't want to be known only as "the sister in law."

Do people need to have a motive for wanting to be friendly toward you?
Perhaps she is just trying to be nice to you because you are now family !
I don’t know what gender you are…
What do you mean by being ‘more friendly’?…
Are you suggesting she is trying to seduce you or what ?
If she is just trying to ‘be your friend’ then she doesn’t need a motive…
If she is trying to seduce you, it could be that she has the ‘hots’ for you, or is trying to see if you can be trusted.
Why don’t you just ask her ???
