Would you marry your boyfriend or girlfriend if you loved them, but weren't "in love" with them yet?? Or would you wait until you were completely "in love" before getting married?

In past relationships, I've been in love with a few. and it was serious on my end, but not as much w/ the guy. Now I realize it probably wasn't as strong as I thought. I think I was just in love with the wrong person. I believe that I'm w/ the right person now and we love eachother, but haven't yet come to the place where we are "in love". Ex: you totally look up to that person, they mean the world to you, or you would do anything for them. I know there are many levels to love. It's so complex. With past loves, it only took a few months for me to have strong feelings of love, but there was a lot of infatuation too. And I have been with my bf now long enough that I thought it would have happened by now. There's no reason why I shouldn't be "in love". And he says he is in the same place as I am. This is the best and most healthy relationship I've been in so I just don't understand what we need to do in order to fall in love. It's beyond infatuation, but not strong enough for marriage yet

I really care about him and love him. We have very strong communication. I've never had that with a guy. We both have a lot of qualities that we are both looking for and lots in common. We've both been in love in the past in unhealthy, unrealistic relationships and now we are both confused as to why we aren't in love yet. Also I've had the overly romantic sweep me off my feet relationships where you almost drive yourself crazy because you are totally crazy over the person and you forget about yourself because all you think of is them and it almost makes you weak. I don't want that. So I really feel like this is real. Just not strong enough yet for marriage yet. It's only been 6 months. What do you think?

Oh Darlin, you have to be "in" love!!
I have a lot of friends that I can truly say that I love them. I love them in the way that you sit there and think about them and something they might have said or done...that makes you smile and feel good. I love them in ways that make me want to call them to hear their voices and know that they will always be happy to hear from me and to give me little assurances that I'm a good person and worth knowing.
But there is only one person that I'm "in" love with. He's the one that takes my breath away everytime I see him. He's the one that can give me goose bumps just by touching my hand. He's the one that I crave just one more kiss from, even after spending hours in his arms. He's the one that I'm thinking about just as I fall asleep at night and the first one that I reach for when I wake up in the morning. His name is always on my lips, ready to call him to show him something I find interesting or to tell him about something I find interesting. He's the one that makes me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world. He's the one that makes me feel loved and needed. He's the one that protects me, shelters me, defends me and loves me.
Thats the difference!

First LOVE THEN MARRIAGE... I won't marry if I do not love, WHY? because if I married without loving my partner, so what kind of life i will expect? probably when I am in a marriage without love, I will fall in love with some body else, and to tell you the true, I won't be able to handled it, because love is love, and that nobody will change it, no money, not arrangements, to love a partner is everything you can have specially when is mutual. believe it.

I wouldn't and didn't get married because I wasn't in love, and yes there is a difference.
If your not completely in love with him yet then don't even think about marriage.
If he is ready and your not, tell him move on, there is no telling how long its going to take you if ever to fall in love with him.

It is a very difficult possition to everyone when we married to someone we love we always have some fear that is he /she realy love me or i am in love with her to be married there are certain questions in your mind and you only know there answers no one else better then you can tell you about your life and your likes so now you have the answer and you better know what to do

You need to be IN LOVE and have those feelings before you get married. That is what seperates Joe Smo from the rest of the guys.

Wait. To love someone is easy. For a marriage you have to be in love with him or her because a successful marriage has to constantly be worked on and being in love helps you work at it.

It all takes time,you love some one now, respect and deep love grows with time and situations,how the other person comes up to your values when things go wrong

I would wait. Being "in love" is like that guy/girl is the whole world to you. But then just loving the guy/girl means you may have been in love with them but its somehow slowly fading away.
