I'm 57 and male. Most men do eventually grow up to some extent but what do you really mean? A bit of silly conversation or clowning is pretty normal for most men and women as well.
Consider this - if it appears he is acting like a child - are you offending some deeply held belief that he cannot explain? Do you ever do the same? Ever?
Some women I know who are around 50 can sound like teenagers sometimes, even though they have teenage and older kids themselves. That's neither here nor there.
My mother often remarked over the years that some of the women she knew had no idea of, or interest in anything outside the kitchen. She knew widows in their 60s who got into difficulties because they could not balance a cheque book or did not know who the present prime minister was. (Just examples among many, I live in Australia)
Does your fiance show signs of never taking responsibility for his actions? Is he holding a regular job or running his own business? Does he drink and drive regularly? Does he gamble to excess? Does he spend masses of money on some car? Does he continue to buy lots of computer games or insist on always having the latest versions of some rubbishy electronic gizmo? Does it appear that he will never support children, if you plan to have any?
The fact that he might act a bit silly in the presence of his friends is neither here nor there if he passes most of these tests.
Take comfort from this. 25 for a man is usually the early morning of real male adulthood.

Well yeah,
I have matured greatly because I had to become like a father when I was younger.
My perants split when I was a youngin, and I was the only moy around the house for many years, so I grow that way for a while, becoming sensitive in certain areas.
Then I got a hard *** military trained step-father I hated it then,
but now I see it helps, I watch others behave poorly and just think how much more guidence the needed...
But I have seen many women who were immature, they acted like 7 year olds, but it all depends on the person...
well Im mature for my age if that matters, or helps at all

Some men never grow up. Do you really want him to? I mean all the time? It's only a problem if a guy is always childish or if he has no sense of when to stop. My favorite guys still have a silly streak no matter how old they are. My stepdad works with an 80 year old who looks like he's only about 60. I swear his sense of humor and fun keep him healthy and young.

I hate to say this but no I don't think that they do grow up, but on the other hand they wont be as childish as they age specially when they have more responsibility's my husband of 5 1/2 years is still a kid but he also knows when to be serious. Do you want to be told that you can't have fun with your friends just remember it's a give and take relationship plus don't be afraid to ask him to calm done a little and explain why you need him to. Make it sound like it's his idea he will take it easier.

I still act immature and I am 40. I mean, I can act appropriately in any social situation or when ever the need arises. But given the opportunity to cut loose and be immature I'm gonna do it.
So I don't plan on ever completely growing up.

Hey, well im not a man but personally, i think that these questions should not be always based on men. There are alot of women who are really immature, too.
The difference is, most women are able to adapt faster than most men. Their minds are set up differently. Most men take longer to grow up because it takes longer to adapt to being grown. (Like little brothers/sons always screaming I"I DONT WANNA GROW UP!" while the girls are already begging for lipstick.)
It's just a matter of how well they can adapt to a new lifestyle and new responsibilities.

no we don't ever, when you have kids it is even worse, cuz then you have to children to take care of. sure we are responible adults for the most part, but get a few beers in us, get us around our friends and we act like we just hit the playground during recess. so sorry ma'am like they say boys will be boys no matter what age. just try to enjoy it as much as he does and when you get on in years you will look back at those times and laugh, besides you will have good stories about him to tell your kids. like the time daddy had a little to much to drink and then burnt his eyebrows off lighting the grill, etc, etc.

Does anyone ever grow up? Even the most mature people have a little bit of their childhood deep inside them.
