sounds like your cat's paw has more suitable an infection. If that is achievable that the shrink is a effect of a combat with yet another cat, then you definately'll probably want an antibiotic from a vet, because of the fact cats' the teeth and claws carry a extensive volume of micro organism that could create deeply contaminated wounds below the floor of the floor. Is your cat licking the could clean? possibly wait in one day, and keep a watch on how the wound develops. no be counted if it remains contaminated, or swollen, via the morning, call your vet and take your cat in for treatment. he's your puppy, and merits all your care!

Yes there is a need to take it to the vet. If it is an abcess it will pop and close up and fester some more and get bigger and pop again and so on. Very few times will an abscess heal it self. It needs to be cut open and be cleaned or have a drain tube and antibiotics.(if this is an abscess) What if its worse? GO TO THE VET

Does it look clean? If so, the cat is healing its own wound by licking it. That's why it's looking deeper. No need for a vet. Wash it out yourself and put gauze around the wound and tape it up. The cat's not going to like the taped up wound but will get over it.

Take your cat to the vet immediately. You are in danger of losing your cat if you don't act now. Think of what you would want if this had happened to you. Would you want someone to ask on Answers as what to do with you? You are being cruel (I'm sure you don't mean to be) so take the cat into the vet now.

Don't wait until the wound gets infected because open wounds are susceptible to such things. Go to the vet and let him take care of it. Your cat might need stitches too, who knows? Don't waste time. Sometimes, we take these things for granted without us knowing that our cat is really sick. Also, this size is way too big for you to ignore. Hope everything goes well with you.

When theres a cut, you usally scratch it when it starts to get better right? Thats what ure cat is probabley doing. But just dont ignore it, take your cat to ure local vet and get an anti itch liquid for cats or else it will get infected and worse.

Definitely get you cat to the vet as soon as possible. It could be developing an abcess which can be fatal if not well treated. Even if it's not an abscess, you still need to get this taken care of as fast as you can.
