Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

Sometimes you have that extra skin that won't go away especially with pregnancies back to back. Once you stretch the skin it doesn't always fit right back in place. For the weight I suggest signing up at a gym with a qualitied personal trainer. (some gyms don't require them to have degrees and you want someone that can teach you healthy eating and exercising.) This way you are getting not just someone showing you exercising, but the whole healthy package. Places like Curves and L.A. Weightloss are starting to pop up everywhere. Curves I believe is women only, which I think can really benefit a woman losing pregnancy weight (there will probably be other women in the same boat) If the skin is still really loose and bothering you after you have dropped the weight, then maybe extreme is the way you need to go. Best of luck!

Believe it or not, I gave natural birth to my daughter, but I've had 2 c-sections for other surgeries. My abdomen has never been the same. I believe it's because the muscle is cut. It's a little poofy above the scar, and then where the scars are it's a little indented. It's been 8 years since the first one, and the second one was just in January. I've not heard of any particular exercises to help improve it.

Wish I could be of more help. Good luck.

I think some of it is genetic. I had a c-section 12 years ago and a natural birth 9 years ago. I'm a little over weight but my stomach is fairly flat. My scar is horizontal but it can barely be seen. My second husband didn't even notice it until I told him it was there. Like I said I think a lot of it is genetic. Depends on how easily your body scars. If it is really bad probably nothing short of plastic surgery is going to work.

The reason you are having trouble is because they have cut into your abdominal muscles. A tummy tuck would fix it in a heart beat, but that is expensive! See what exercise guru Denise Austin had to say about this:

Q: Is it more difficult for women who have had C-sections to get rid of a stomach pouch?
A: It all depends on how they were cut. If they were cut horizontally, they'll be able to tighten those muscles again. But if they were cut vertically, it's likely the muscles were cut. For the horizontal cut, you can get your tummy flat again - it just takes more time. You can do it. They were just stretched, not cut.

My mom did too. The doctors told her it was pretty much all scar tissue, and that she'd need to have it removed every few years to keep it trimmer. She couldn't lose any of it either though...but it's because it was scar tissue, not fat.
