A state of mind. FEELING insecure is a state of worry, apprehension. A person can BE insecure as a result of real loss, such as losing a job, home, a loved one. A curse is just self-abuse.

A bit of both. It's a curse in that an insecure person is going to be pretty miserable. And it's a state of mind because- well, that is where a lot of insecurities are actually rooted.

A momentary state perhaps, a curse never for it reminds us that we ourselves should never judge another for the way they dress, how they speak, were they live, or what they did in high school. We all feel insecure at times and I'd venture to say he who appears to confident has the curse.
