I recently met this new girl in class and we decided to work on our final project together. The project is a year long project. I think she is really amazing and want to take things to the next level. But i am not sure if she feels the same way. I m wondering of signs that may tell me if she is interested in taking the next step. I am worried to ask her out because if she says no I dont want it to get awkward between us since we have to work together on this year long project. Any advice on what i should do or signs i should look for?

If she likes you more than a friend, you would be able to feel it. Do whatever ur gut tells you to do!
If she is an understanding person, i suggest you ask her out on a date, or tell her about your feelings. If she doesnt feel the same way, she will say i am sorry. If she feels the same way... good for you! As long as u dont make it awkward when she says no, it will be fine. Just remember, if you don't ask her out, one day you are going to regret not asking her out and you will wonder if it wouldve worked or not for the rest of ur life.

If she goes out of her way to talk to you (possibly about something other than the project) that is a good sign. Some might say touching you more than usual or being nice/talkative, but everyone is different, and for some that might just be normal and not flirtatious.
Good luck!

Looks like you're giving yourself two choices--wait till the project is over with at the end of the year and then say to her, "Yeah, you know what? I been thinkin' all year...."

Or you seem to think you should say something to her now. Which do you want to do? Can you easily get a new partner if she becomes uncomfortable with the idea of you possibly liking her as more than a friend?

If you are looking at her and she seems to giggle and look away.
If you go to physically flirt with her, like tapping playfully or pushing and she does it back.
Don't start the hugging thing, it's easy for a girl to hug, even is she just wants to be friends.
If you don't want it to be ackward, keep it playful and wait until she starts to call you or for an excuse to call her.
When you do have her on the phone, make sure it is at a time, that you could be like, what are you doing? Wanna meet up?
If you make plans for a later date, something could really come up and now you're dealing with mixed signals.
If the holidays come around, or her b-day, get her something, even cheap flowers are a sign of "I like you", not "let's be friends".
My guy friends did not give me flowers, the guy that liked me did.

Why dun u ask her to a movie 1st? see wat's her reaction abt this kind of small dates. take a small step 1st. and since u think she's so amazing, u won't want to piss her off by coming on too strong.

Your best best is to be honest with her and tell her how you feel.
She will respect for being honest wheather she says yes or no
