Yes I agree with you totally. You can call it a miracle. The contents of Quran is much more than any of the other Holy Books. Its remakable to see how people starting from a very young age recite it so fluently. I do not think any other religion is showered with this blessing as people say here.

yes and have people seen the (OLD) movie "Fahrenheit 459"(NOT 911 by Micheal Moore)
It gives the same idea behind memorization of books- when books will be taken away from people so they cant have any independant thoughts or any thoughts against a govt. For centuries Islam has been doing this already..interesting that the movie was considered revolutionary and at the cutting edge at the time.
Oh BTW it's not a team sport where you have to say "my team is better than yr team nyanyanya" It's simply a reflection on a very startling thing that exists in the world-like a sunrise-any religion can appreciate how the Quran is memorized-sounds nothing like a phone book memorization, and he dedication of humans to doing it is justa real phenomenon-youcan relax and appreciate it and not go against yr "team" just as I can appreciate how a church may run a very nice program for kids or charity, say better than my placeof worship- I dont have to fel threatened if I am secure in my beliefs

Sure. Judaism has a long standing practice of memorizing huge sections of the Torah. It is a left over from the time of the oral tradition. Also, Christians tend to memorize huge sections of Scripture. Same with Taoist, Shintoist, in fact just about every faith I can think of.
It is a gift of God, but I do not consider it specific to Muslims. It is part of what I consider Common Grace.

I have seen 3 year olds who could recite things about every president the united states has ever had. I can teach my parakeet to recite what I teach her.Rote memory is learned, not an act of God.

Anyone can memorize. It proves they are devoted to the law of their religion and they know the punishment if they don't do what it says. We Christians are given better deal, freedom from the law... amen.

Before writing became popular, it was once more common for people to hand down stories, traditions, accounts, and legends through singing or chanting of verses. The human brain, and the mind it produces, manifest the wonder of God's creations.
