However, there are days when people are just being asses. So in trying to solve this, I am looking for a pill that will help me get through such days. Is there such a pill? A pill that helps you relaxes and calms you down? I will ask my Dr. next week but I just what to know what is out there. Thanks...

Ativan or Klonopin work great, however, they can be addicting so don't take them more than prescribed. Start out with Ativan 0.5mg or Klonopin 0.5mg if you are an average sized person. At first they can make you alittle groggy, but others just "zone" out and totally relax. After your body acclimates to them you shouldn't have any side effects.

You definitely need to talk to your doctor, however a pretty safe choice would be an antidepressant. I know that they are prescribed mainly for depression, but they have also worked wonders with people who have a bad temper or just fits of anger. They are also non-addictive. The other choice would probably be something like Xanex, however with anything that is like a Valium or anything that is supposed to mellow you out, there is a good chance you will become addicted. I'd suggest trying the antidepressants or seeking some counseling like the other person suggested. Also, no job is worth losing your sanity, no matter how much it pays. I'm sure there are a ton of other jobs that you wouldnt take regardless of what they paid so think of it that way.

Oh brother, YOU DO NOT NEED PILLS!!!!!! What you are experiencing is typical adolescence, EVERY TEENAGER IS GOING THROUGH WHAT YOU ARE. Mood swings and difficulty concentrating (ADHD is biggest crock of sh*t that I've ever heard) are both parts of becoming an adult. Instead of taking pills, stop drinking caffeine (coffee, sodas, energy drinks), stop eating junk food, get off the computer, stop watching TV, start exercising, take up a sport, hobby, instrument, reading, anything. Soon we'll be giving out heroin to 1st graders that talk during class. If you have a genuine anger management problem, go to a psychiatrist and have them diagnose you. You can talk to them, get out your angers, maybe even go to a retreat if it's bad enough. But I doubt that you'll get diagnosed with an anger management problem. They'll probably just dope you up on Ritalin and say that you're fine, just so they can collect their $250 a session or whatever it is.

Super Rhodiola --extraxt from the root --500 mg-Capsules -SOLARAY is the Brand Name You can also try L-5 Hydroxytryptophan-which is converted by the body into Serotonin I prefer the Super Rhodiola pills-very popular among athletes for gives you stamina and does away with stress-I began taking for started having Panic Attacks due to heavy stress and went to my Health food store and it was recommended. I take 1 capsule in the AM-kind of raises the energy level and feel calm. feel good and its easy to let things slide, people, situations just do not bother me as much But do not feel like I've taken anything and its from nature so no bad side effects and does not have any effects on blood pressure or the medications that I take(totally safe to take). If I have a problem going to sleep or wake up way too early and can't go back to sleep-1 capsule relaxes me and I sleep just fine but no groggy feeling and have taken approx 4 am and gotten up around 7AM. The other is ok too. You may want to try which works best for you. Try these natural Supplements before you get chemicals---which all affect the liver and god knows what else. If I can take natural and it works for me always pick over chemical.. Hope this helps. It also pays to remember that these people are just temporary-not in your life forever so don't give them importance or the power to affect your day-although it is difficult putting people in the proper perspective allows you success at distancing emotionallu. Good Luck

Health food store has Calms Forte which is a combination of natural ingredients. I've never used it but, it's worth a try. Also, you may need to take a few minutes and breathe deep to relax your insides. Sounds like you are stressed out. Try to think of these people as projects and kill them with kindness, not get angry and let them spoil your mood. Usually they will respond. If not just know that they have the problem and not you. Do your best and that's all you can do. Good Luck, try to relax every minute you can.

It's better to try to learn some relaxation techniques first. Google online for relaxation techniques, or go to your local library and there will be a plethora of books on this topic. If you can avoid pills, try to. They do good, but they damage your body and I don't know if you'll be getting the therapy you need to deal with the anger while taking those pills. Pills shouldn't be used as an escape.

Do not take pills unless you absolutely have too, because in the long run they can do damage to your body as well as your mind. The last thing people should be doing is turning to the pharmaceutical companies as a first line of defense for every day problems. Try meditation, counseling or anger management. Stress is very hard to deal with in such a situation as yours, but if you can achieve a peace of mind or sense of calm, or go to a place in your mind that brings you happiness, this will help you tremendously in the long run. Good luck, Laura

Why not try exercise instead, meditation, some kind of stress relieving activity? If it's a more serious issue you could ask your doctor to help you get to the root of your anger. Irritability can be a sign of depression - inability to cope is another sign. Prozac specifically helps with agitated depression.

As for meds that cover agitation within other diagnoses - Risperdal for agitation works well in my opinion. But these meds should only be used with a dx from DSM-IV.

Valerian Root, 5-HTP, Bach Rescue Remedy. Can be bought at the vitamin/dietary supplement section in your grocery store. Read the labels, there are many that say something like 'mood enhancer' or 'natural stress relief'. They are nonaddictive.
