no such thing as "half jewish".

if you don't belive in the things judaism belives in, then your not jewish.

and christianity does not qualify.

edit:quoting from below,
>>"I would go so far as to say we are ALL jewish and those that hold to the current jewish tradition are the ones in error. After all, Jesus was the Messiah the Hebrews had been waiting for. "<<
thats the very essence of the thing though, HE WAS NOT. christianity and the church warps it, and lies to make you think he was.

but bottom line he was not. the jewish messiah was not a sacrifice, was not a "spiritual" savior (duh, we already have that...) but a king, a regular human, not gods son, or god incarnate or anything like that.

No. Although Christianity is an offshoot of Judaism, it is its own religion. However, like Judaism, Christianity is an Abrahamic religion. That is, we call Abraham our father in faith.

Like John Winston, my ancestors all came from England & Ireland, & therefore, it is highly unlikely that my pre-Christian ancestors were Jewish.

The only Christians today, that would most likely be descendants of Jewish people are Christians from the Middle East, & Christians descended from Jews who converted to Christianity, much later on.

I myself am Christian Cathollc and the only Jew that we believe in is Jesus, King of the Jews. How can someone be half Jewish? The Jews don't believe in Christ. All that I know that the belive in that is the same is God the Father.

No, Christians are descended from pagans and heathens, and very few of them have Jewish lineage; however, you can be saved by something called the "Special dispensation" in which Jesus will put in a good word for you at the gate of Heaven. It was all explained by John on the Isle of Patmos, in his book Revelation. Yeah, baby.

Not all first Christians were Jews, so not ALL Christians would be half Jewish.

A true Jew (Israelite) is somebody who is a descendant of Jacob (whose name was changed to Israel).
Israel was God's chosen people. He worked specifically with them, revealed His law to them, and sent His Messiah to them first. They rejected Him so he set them aside and is now working with the Gentiles (anyone who is not Jewish). That isn't to say that he will reject a Jew who comes to Him with a spirit of repentance and faith . .but as a nation, He has put them aside until the fullness of the Gentiles has come.
Most Christians are not Jewish at all (unless they were to start with).
Just because we partake of the promises made to Abraham, does not mean we become Jewish . . . Abraham was also the father of the Gentiles . . he was a Gentile himself.

Don't forget that there were 12 tribes of Israel, and 10 of them got lost. Some people believe that many of the lost mixed in with the gentiles, which would mean that many of us, maybe even most, could have Israelitish blood.
