If you want some thing a little different, get a Colt black powder revolver. Cost about 100 bucks and is a lot of fun to shoot...lots of smoke and flame..big .44 caliber balls too...Connecticut valley firearms makes a nice 1845 replica of the old navy revolver. i bought mine through the Bass Pro Shops catalog, since it a "cap and ball" style firearm, you don't need a permit to own it, depending on what state you live in

Why don't you check the gun shops and pawnshops? Quite frankly, if you have to ask the question, you are probably much better off without one.There is a lot more to using a firearm than just point and shoot. Also, handgun licenses are pretty difficult to get.

Go for a rifle. Less chance you might get yourself in trouble.
