I am in college right now, and there is this girl that caught my eye on the first day of class. For those of you who know what Facebook is, here is what I did:
I asked her if she would add me as a friend, to which she responded "Sure I will; it was nice of you to ask me first".
I replied to her message with "I was just wondering if you might want to meet me sometime outside of class so that we can talk to each other in person?"
She replied with yes, and now I am going to see her tomorrow.
The problem I have is this: Even though we have class together, we sit on opposite sides of the room, and due to this, haven't said one word yet to one another.
My question for all of you is this: Why would she agree to meet me when I haven't even introduced myself to her yet? - She literally doesn't know a thing about me, yet she is willing to meet me for coffee tomorrow! - I don't want to think that it is because she is attracted to me - what else could it be?
She's 19 - I'm 21

well, she probably sees the issue of sitting on opposite sides of the room (hello, you noticed it right?)
maybe she's noticed you and likes the way you look/act and would like to get to know you better. afterall, you probably don't look too scary, therefore she isn't worried about having coffee in a public place. there will be other people around so if you tried anything funny someone would see. (not to say that you would)
don't worry about it...go have your coffee, be a gentleman, and enjoy! she has most likely thought the situation over a lot more than you'd think! girls plan ahead.

Meeting for coffee is a very safe and 'generic' way to get to know someone. Rest assured she probably is attracted to you from the information she saw on facebook,....or most likely she would have declined your invitation to coffee.
Go have some coffee, have some fun, get to know each other,....and don't stress out about this so much! :)

Because you approached her and the only way she will know anything about you is to meet for coffee and talk to you like you asked. So be yourself, enjoy meeting a new person and have fun.

She probably thinks that in meeting you for coffee, you will be in a public place and it will be safe. I imagine she is somewhat attracted to you or she wouldn't be meeting you; however, don't come on too strong. Who knows? She may be looking for friendship, or maybe more. Once you talk awhile, you should know. And if it is friendship, it may lead to more later. Good luck!

You have never spoken to her either, yet you asked her to meet you so what's the big deal? It's just for coffee. She is going to a public place in broad daylight with you. Are you worried that she is dumb enough to want to meet you? Sheesh. She should have said, "No." You are going to worry yourself out of meeting someone new.

Well, she obviously doesn't think you're a troll or moron because she said "yes." That must mean that she wants to know you better.
Be cheerful, upbeat and interesting. Ask her about herself: where is she from? what's her major? what does she plan to do after she graduates? does she have brothers and sisters?
If it goes well, take it to the next level. Invite her out for pizza or something. If it turns out that her Dad's in prison for murdering her mother, her brother's in the psychiatric hospital and her sister's photo is on milk cartons, then run away! run away!

Why would you want to meet her for coffee when you haven't spoken to her yet? Probably the same reason she wants to meet you. Just relax and enjoy yourself. Good luck.

Who knows? What's the point of analysing it...the girl agreed to meet you. Isn't that what you wanted?
