Take this for example,

Now, I am not going to attack anyone specificly by name, but look at the answer were the peron says "thats caues churches preach more than one god".
Then the cut and paste. nonsense.

Now look at the answer of the person who said you are intelligent, you are going to live your life and hopefully get different ideas in your head,

and in the end you will still be a christian.

Christianity always has preached one God, sure in the early stages there were issue, but modern christianity has always been one god,

the idea that this 18 year old girl might read another book is a threat to they who want control, but not a threat to jesus

i hope she educates herself and becomes a better person,

isn't that something her jesus would want?

Why would a fool try and stop another human being from reading a book or hearing a song?

It all sounds reasonable, but it just isn't reality. What we expose ourselves to has an effect. Sometimes being exposed to ideas and information your church would rather you not know does not result in you still being a Christian afterward. I'm living proof. If I had not gone to seminary for a theology degree and continued on working for a doctorate in Biblical Literature, it's probable I would still be a fundamentalist. Once I knew, I could not unknow. So while I sympathize with your position, it's not entirely valid and perhaps a bit naive. I would say let the faith compete in the marketplace of ideas and let the chips fall where they may, but I would never assert that someone's faith will remain undamaged by any and all inputs. It's simply not always the case.

I can see it.

The yahoo answers fool acts like he knows something and pulls credentials out of his pocket. The fool attempts to undermine others and poorly disguises his contempt.

The wise man offers support and does not judge. He may often say things that seem unrelated or offtrack, but he speaks from his heart.

Why did you not want to attack anyone by name? You specifically directed us to the person you were attacking by quoting them so what is the difference? I personally don't see how this illustrates the difference between a wise man and a fool. Who exactly is the wise man and who is the fool?

Sure Jim. There are many kinds
- Genuine fools who genuinely dont now basic things which we think they should be knowing
- Under cover fools - who try to look very smart but you can find them out
- self imposed fools - they enact temporary foolishness for fun
- YA fools - they act foolish only on YA - otherwise they are intelligent
- Smily Fools- they seek foolishness to get more answers by acting foolish
