Racism????

You pass me on the street and sneer in my direction.

You call me "Whiteboy," "Cracker," "Honkey," "Whitey," "Caveman" and that's
OK.

But when I call you, ******, Towelhead, Sand-******, Camel Jockey,
Beaner, ****, or Chink you call me a racist.

You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you, so why are the
ghettos the most dangerous places to live?

You have the United ***** College Fund.
You have Martin Luther King Day.
You have Black History Month.
You have Cesar Chavez Day.
You have Yom Hashoah
You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi
You have the NAACP.
You have BET.

If we had WET (White Entertainment Television) we'd be racists.

If we had a White Pride Day you would call us racists.

If we had white history month, we'd be racists.

If we had an organization for only whites to "advance" our lives, we'd be
racists.

If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships, you
know we'd be racists.

There are over 60 openly proclaimed Black Colleges in the US , yet if there
were "White colleges" that would be a racist college.

In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching for your race
and rights. If we marched for our race and rights, you would call us
racists.

You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you're not afraid
to announce it. But when we announce our white pride, you call us racists.

You rob us, carjack us, and shoot at us. But, when a white police officer
shoots a black gang member or beats up a black drug-dealer running from the
law and posing a threat to society, you call him a racist.

I am proud. But, you call me a racist.

Why is it that only whites can be racists? There is nothing improper about
this post. Let's see which of you are proud enough to reply to it

lets not forget about the black miss amerca pagent, the black music awards, the black actors awards, the black proms, the black class reunions. if whites did any of that we would be considered to be racist. i'm reaching a point where i dont care who thinks i'm racist. i speak my mind, even to my black friends. normally they dont have an answer for it either and they agree that its wrong. this world is so far off balanced right now its not even funny anymore. it makes me mad. people fought for equality, then got it and tipped the scales the other way. if i give an opinion on another race people want to know if i with the clan, if a black person says something derogatory i'm not supposed to think its racist. wheres the equality there? i have no problem being an equal with any race, but i wont stand by and be over run by anyone regardless of the race. i am an american, nothing more, nothing less. i dont claim that i'm ___ american (insert your ethnicity here). i believe that those who are born in america should be just americans. live as a whole, not broken up into individual races with different rules. its stupid and intolerable. anyone who just stands around and lets society decide these things for them without speaking up is an idiot. thanks for the chance to rant, have a great day!

Anyone can be a racist. Here's an excercise in history though: why would whites need a white history month??? Or "White entertainment television"? In the US, practically every month is white history month. Denzell Washington and Angela Bassett are called great "black actors", but nobody is ever qualified as a great "white actor". Columbus day is a national holiday, but he didn't "discover" the Americas. How many non-whites were featured prominently in your high school text books? 1? 2? 3? Viacom owns BET--they also own MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and Paramount--are you threatened and offended by a children's-oriented network as well? What's the big deal? Why do you seem so put off by people who are proud of their identity and want to have holidays to celebrate it? Are you also willing to attack things like St. Patrick's Day? Why?
Maybe if you didn't call people ******, Towelhead, Sand-******, Camel Jockey, Beaner, ****, or Chink, then you wouldn't get called a racist or a cracker or a honkey. Try not to act like a "caveman" and you'll probably be surprised by the results.

What about if a gang of Blacks or Asians beat a white guy, it is just an attack, but if a gang of whites beat a Black or Asians it is a racist attack?! Have I missed something here?

Ok...in through the nose, out through the mouth. You don't need a special interest group. But, you don't have to take any crap off people, either. Write your congressman, though, or community leaders, and ask their opinion on some of the things that you mentioned. Some have a valid basis, others are outmoded. Institutions have to watch out for racism, too.
