The devil is worried you'll get closer to Jesus if you do. I'm glad you love the Lord and you aren't persecuting anyone and are making an impact on others lives for Jesus. Thats the most important thing. I don't think you have to listen to 99% Christian stuff as long as what you listen to doesn't influence you in the wrong way. I'll be praying for you and asking Jesus blesses you!

You can not serve two masters. You either love God or you love you chosen life style. The true church is not the building you worship in. It is in your heart. If you truly love God as you say you do then you can not live the way you are.God & pagans can not exsized together. Billcompu I read your answer. I had to read it twice because I did not understand it. I still do not.But I truly enjoyed reading it. It was so deep. Keep it up & God richly bless you//

Good for you! The present day Christianity is so twisted and perverted from what Jesus started, it's almost unrecognizable. You keep on loving Jesus!

thats because you are an intelligent person,
and you want to get lots of *ideas* in your head, so they can bounce off one another
i really hope you do learn about other things besides *jesus*
and sure at the end of the day you'll be a christian and die and be in heaven with *jesus*
nothing wrong with that
between now and your death learn all you can about as much as you can,
wouldnt it suck to spend all day and night just reading the same book,
what if other books had ideas that helped you in your walk with christ

I have to agree with some of the other answers...you are trying to be friends with the world. Not going to work. Jesus said those who are friends with the world are at enmity with God.
It's one side or the other, you can't have one foot in both camps.

I agree with you 100%.
I find it very odd that I never see quotes from Jesus on this board from Christians.
All I see is that I must 'accept' him as my lord or I burn in hell.
I think they've marginalized Jesus since he doesn't share their political beliefs.

some of it is too syrupy You can find a simpler one like Methodism We are more openminded than alot of them and still have the trinity and some have contemporary services too. Try to avoid the wiccans and goth stuff and go to youth group at church cuz the occult is so dangerous..

I reccomend you try to find a group for something called "A Course in Miracles" its a book and has some study book type things with it... and some places hold book groups where they meet and discuss and such...
I get a feeling you might like it alot.

I'll tell you why. Jesus is God and it is sick that churches keep on saying more than one God.
those of the church who come from this world having an idea of three Divine beings cannot be admitted into heaven,
since their thought wanders from one Divine being to another; and it is not allowable there to think three and say one.{1} Because in heaven everyone speaks from his thought, since speech there is the immediate product of the thought, or the thought speaking. Consequently, those in this world who have divided the Divine into three, and have adopted a different idea of each, and have not made that idea one and centered it in the Lord, cannot be received into heaven, because in heaven there is a sharing of all thoughts, and therefore if any one came thinking three and saying one, he would be at once found out and rejected. But let it be known that all those who have not separated what is true from what is good, or faith from love, accept in the other life, when they have been taught, the heavenly idea of the Lord, that He is the God of the universe. It is otherwise with those who have separated faith from life, that is, who have not lived according to the precepts of true faith (Heaven and Hell n.2).

My guess would be that you dislike hearing "christian stuff" because it convicts you. God gave his word so that we would see our iniquity and know that we need a savior.
Hebrews 4:12 (New International Version)
12For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
