So many times in my life, often nightly I beg "not let me wake up tomorrow. I have also attempted suidice many times, often for attention but on some occaisions fully resolte to end the pain of life. The troble is with suicide is it is a selfish act, because "someone" cares aboutme, and it is unfair to leave a mess for others to clean up.
Why? Because I had an abussive mother, I have always beeen overweight, and felt insecure about love.
I take Prozac, but I am aware that dealing with the roots of my problem(s) is the only way to move on.
I am living in Thailand and trying to come to terms with my
life; past and present, through Buddhist teachings.
In my condo, 3 people have jumped from the roof of the 17th floor. Very selfish indeed, because of the effect on those who witness this self indulgent final act.

All the time. And I know religious gurus will say that if you do, you will die and go to hell. Blah blah blah. Well unless you have gone through what I have gone though and millions of other people....then don't judge. The bible talks about judging too. And that is wrong. I feel personally that there is a way to fix this. I haven't figured it out but talking about it helps in a big way. Suicidal thoughts are just as much as a disease as Alcoholism and is mostly due to depression. Talk about it. Im not telling anyone what to do with their lives, just talk about it. You might discover that people love you more than you think and you have more worth than you think.

Oh sure. But who hasn't? Ihave really really wanted to end my life - more than once, and for long times, but it was the uncertainty. I mean I wanted to kill myself at 10 yrs. old, but I imagined that it could be hell, or just a life worse than this one and I couldnt come back, so I didn't.

I knew then that no matter how much I hurt, no matter how betrayed I felt, how neglected I felt, unloved, etc. I knew that it could be worse. I imagined myself committing suicide, not liking the next life, then committing suicide in that life , only to find each life sucessively worse!

I thought EXCEEDINGLY about death, but I never tried suicide.

i think anyone who says they haven't had passing thoughts ending their life is lying. But how far it goes is another thing. There is a difference between wanting to and thinking about what it would be like (pain, the afterlife, etc.) I hope to all hopeness that you are not wanting to end YOUR life. It's the best gift you will ever have.

I thought that I wanted to end my life a long time ago. I was very lonely, and thought that the world was out to get me. I realize that the world is not out to get me now. I have people around me, who love me. I believe that we are all here for a purpose.

I hope you aren't asking for yourself cause if you are please don't do it. I don't know anything about you but I love you as a person and really want you to share these feelings with someone who can help. I know sometimes it seems like the only way out, the only way to end your unhappiness but things do get better. I'll be thinking about you.

There have been times in my life I've thought about it,but I realized it wasn't the right thing to do. If you're thinking about it, please reconsider! People care about you (starting with me) and would be hurt if you ended your life. God has a plan for your life, and you have to stay around and fulfill it. Get help, talk to someone, tell them what you're feeling. I'm praying for you.

Been there, done that, bought the t shirt.

I have lived most of my life with severe clinical depression. It often manifests itself as a desire to do bodily harm to myself and seems triggered by high stress levels. It is a burden I struggle with and have learned over the years, with a lot of prayer, medication, and counceling to deal with.
