Because it has cheese (dairy product), pizza can easily cause diarrhoea in many dog breeds. Can use a bismuth product (like Pepto-bismol) to cure diarrhoea in dogs. The Pepto-bismol tablets administer very well.

Alot of dogs are allergic to wheat so the crust isn't good for them. Also dogs shouldn't have tomatoes or cheese. Too many tomatoes are poisonous and cheese isn't good for their digestion. So, yes it's bad if dogs eat pizza.

All types of spicy fatty human food in not good for dogs. He won't die but he might get used to the flavor and may not want to eat dog food anymore. And that may be potentially bad for the dog and you. Just try to avoid giving him human food.

I have a 185 lb St. Bernard and I give him pizza all the time. If he likes it and its not gonna kill them, let them be happy!
