Bro that is a big task, if you have never done a engine coversion dont bother - you need alot of help and you need alot of knowledge inregards to getting the correct parts to even get the V-8 to fit correctly in the engine compartment.

If you have time / money / patiance oh and help do it - the V-8 has way more power but all in all pass on the conversion just drop a Trans in it and get to driving.

Good Luck

Not hard at all The mounts on engine will have to be changed should take for swap about 3 hours total on the tranny you may need to swap another tanny mount too

The swapping is the easy part. Now you will need a computer system to run the fuel injected engine.

Not much to modify, but you'll need motor mounts, and a bigger radiator. Hopefully, you got all the electronic harness to hook up all the major stuff. For needed parts go to LMCtrucks.com, they specialize in only truck parts, and mostly oem parts for all brands of trucks.

New engine would have to be convertred to a carb. like the 6 cylinder, need intake manifold, and carb., need all the brackets for the p/s and ac and alternator, etc.
You will need a lot of parts.

you would have to change the engine mounts, transmission, driveshaft, wiring harness, radiator, rear end because a six cyl. is geared different than a v/8. It takes a lot of modifying. good luck
