Yes, it's very romantic. I'll never forget how last year one guy bought me a single rose in a bud vase and brought it to my birthday party... then his jaw dropped because another guy had already arrived with a dozen roses for me!
But it really doesn't matter what the guy does if you really, really like the dude and nothing a guy does is going to work if the woman doesn't like him. One year, this guy that was trying to get me to go out with him bought me a dozen roses, a box of chocolates and a bottle of perfume for Valentine's Day... but I cringed because I didn't want to go out with him!
On the other hand, I've had a guy that I liked take me to a burger joint for dinner and I was OK with it because it's not about how much he spent on me but how I felt about him.
But, yes, roses are definitely romantic!

I think its romantic. But, I think it would be even more romantic if he gave me 11 real roses and 1 fake, and said "I'll love you until the last rose dies"
To me, it is somewhat of a clishe, but then he's also being creative about it. And he's being sweet, showing that he thought of me by giving me the roses.

well i think whats more important is the gesture; most women, especially if they really do like you, will appreciate the roses for the gesture. it really depends on the kind of girl it is too, some are pretty high maintenance, while other would appreciate a dozen roses over an expensive gift anytime

Yeah roses always get a girl. But to me a picnic or something from the heartfelt area would definetly start of some romance.

Roses are very romantic for most women and most of the time it is greatly appreciated and flattering. And the great part about it for the guys-it's easy to get! Get her the roses-she'll like it and it is romantic.

it's only romantic if it's coming from the guy you love, and he's doing it cuz he loves you. otherwise, anything that shows that he truly cares is good. also, if a girl really loves a different type of flower, it will mean a lot to her if you specifically buy that type- it shows you know what she likes, and you want to make her happy.

A nice dinner and a movie is better than roses...the memory lasts longer than the flowers!

Stand outside my window at work and show me the flowers, then deliver them yourself, with a big smile, and a loud, "there's a woman in here I'm crazy about, and I'm bringing her flowers" type comment to make all of my coworkers jealous, then a bow, and a kiss that curls my toes, then, skip out singing out at the top of your lungs...some silly song about what you love most about me...

I think flowers are sweet, but I really find the little things my guy does so much more special, such as grabbing his slippers as I am about to walk on the bathroom floor just so my feet won't be on the bare floor. He's very thoughtful and considerate, that to me is priceless and means the world to me.
