NO NO NO!!! Fog lights should be on a separate circuit, with a separate switch. As well, they should only be used when there is "FOG" or other visibility situation, where extra lighting is required. I get upset with some Idiots who insist on having them on all the time, and blinding everyone in the process. As a matter of fact, in many jurisdictions, it is illegal to have them on the same circuit as head lights.

NO! I'm sick of all the losers that wire a vehicle like that! Put a separate switch so you can turn them on and off independently and not blind oncoming vehicles or use them when no fog is present. Personally, I think they should be outlawed in all 50 states! They are a menace to the highway! I've driven for 40 years without fog lights and never found a need tohave them! All the idiots with them are 16-17 year olds that think they're "cool" instead of a useful purpose!

yes you can and should always do it that way, just like factory installed fog lights.
Run it thru a 5 prong Bosch style relay and use the sense lead from the relay to trigger off of the low beam light wire.

You should not have them run on the same circuit can cause a draw and cause wires to heat up.
Id run them separate and have them turn on when you request the lights on , but on a separate circuit.
Good Luck
