I am against illegal immigration. However, if the gov't wants too criminalize them, it needs to also criminalize the employers. I don't see any other way to prevent further immigration. The guest worker program, on its face, is not a bad idea if our economy were in such good shape to support it. But, it is not. Many many people are out of work and certainly would be the houskeepers, nannies, landscapers and whatever else there is. It seems to me that that program came about after Katrina. Well, get the evacuees some trailors and give them a chance to earn some money by rebuilding the Gulf coast. I'm sure many would jump at the chance to return home if they could. Just think of all the social good that would come of it. How many of them are still not working? The illegals could apply for admittance like every other immigrant and wait their turn. I will happily welcome them to our great nation as I do every one else.

I feel you. I am against illegal immigration and the exploitation of immigrant workers. We need a viable solution to fix this problem. Punishing those that hire and abuse illegal workers would be a start. Strengthening our borders and encouraging legal immigration isn't bad either.

Totally agree with you. Illegal immigration is big businesses new form of slavery -- they can pay the people low wages and give no benefits. This sucks for the illegals and for citizens because it drives down our wages. Bottom line is illegal immigration is a crime that hurts our country and should be stopped.

There could desire to be various distinctive motives: a million) They themselves at one time have been unlawful immigrants. So, they have first-hand adventure as to the struggles of immigrants and desire to work out their fellow "countrymen" make something of their lives as they have been finally waiting to. 2) they have buddies or kinfolk that are unlawful immigrants. 3) they're humanitarians/ activists. Edit: isn't it exciting? some human beings have this style of reliable hatred for immigrants, that they are going to extremely supply a "thumbs down" in easy terms for answering a query in the present day - despite if there is not any opinion in it the two way and it in easy terms states some achievable solutions to the question.

I agree with you. My plan, force those hiring them to pay decent wages and then LEGAL AMERICANS will work for them. Send illegal immigrants back and force them to apply to be here. Spend the money we give to other countries so freely (not like people are staying there) to pay for legalization and naturalization for a limited number of people each year.

Hi! I'm against illegal immigration and against mass, poor, legalized immigration that degrades our schools and services, and drives down wages for our working class so that they can't adequately support themselves.

Well I'm against illegal immigration. As for them being "abused", they're the ones demanding special rights and whom refuse to learn English. So it's not America's fault they're not even paid minimum wage when they come into this country illegally.

I'm for the border fence, employer enforcement, and more city/county ordinances helping to bar illegal immigration.
