To lose weight, you need to reduce the calorie intake by some amount. It is important to develop a healthy diet , so that body receives sufficient nutrients even as you try to lose weight. Check the calorie count of the food you eat. A diet without sufficient nutrients like vitamins and minerals will only increase your appetite when you are trying to lose weight. Since most people combine a diet with an exercise plan to lose weight , additional nutrients are required for the growth of muscles to increase the metabolic rate. Small changes in your diet can help you lose a lot of weight. More information on a weight loss diet and exercises to loose weight is available at http://tinyurl.com/jax5h

Eat right and do some form of excercise. Yes dancing counts as excercise.
Start with a healthy breakfast and avoid a big dinner. Little things you can do is switch to skim milk, no sodas( or only diet sodas), fruit instead of chips.
Even though you might be out of shape, start small with the excercise and don't get discouraged. You have a reasonable goal and you can do it.
Good luck.

1. Eat only one serving of starch carbs a day...preferably complex carbohydrates (not sugar carbs). Old-fashioned oatmeal with cinnamon is a good choice. Eat starch carbs only before noon.
2. Eat your lightest meal at night...eat a salad. Don't eat protein or starch at dinner. Any extra protein that your body doesn't need gets converted into fat.
3. Exercise at night, doing at least an hour of cardio...something like a walk, a bike ride, or a run. Don't swim...swimming will make you incredibly hungry.
It is important to do at least 45 minutes of cariovascular exercise because it takes that long before the body starts burning its stored energy fat reserves.
Fat-burning foods: grapefruit, lemon, orange, spinach, dark lettuce, parsley.
Eating a variety of vegetables will help your body burn fat.
Stay away from processed foods: potato chips, diet soda, etc.
Stay away from fast food!
Processed foods often contain MSG which is a flavor enhancer. The problem with MSG is that it will also make you gain weight or keep you heavier than you want to be.
