Even the top brass, other than Rumsfeld, are admitting that our presence has a destabilizing effect. This was not true two years ago, but because of policy blunders of the administration, Americans are at greater risk than ever before.

Yes!!
The day Saddam's statue was brought down I will never forget the looks on the faces of the Iraqui people as I was watching the news.
Their faces told the story at the time it happened their faces shone at that moment.
They set about working along side of the Americans in restoring their country ,their water, rebuilding business ,getting a police force up and running all working together to get back to normal and live in their new found freedom.
Men and women turning up to vote the looks on their faces that day was one of appreciation for freedom.
What we need to remember is there are those who love war and do not want peace who are sitting on the sidelines just waiting to create chaos and intimidate decent people.
America you have not lost the war.
You have done a fantastic job.
But with terrorists sneaking around and fighting dirty .
My question is why do these terrorists sneak around ?
They pick on innocent civilians while they cover their faces and have gun in hand.
Remove these items and what do we have?
78% of Iraqui civilians say Quote: the U S military is not a stabilizing force in their country.
If they give up now they will go back under a dictatorship which they have been set free from.
How people forget the joy of the moment.
It is better to be free than have a slave mentality.
America you have done a good job but if those you are trying to help give up what can you do!
God Bless America land of liberty!

Well, not every poll is correct, some people are biased.. sometimes they don't poll enough. Sometimes they poll too many people. Sometimes the 'edit' their polls', yada yada yada yada... I believe that the U.S. military presence is a stabilizing force BUT they need to begin to leave Iraq. I understand that if they pull everything back at once Iraq may enter a civil war. I still think though, that they should start taking a few thousand troops out every couple of weeks or so.

via the indisputable fact that's critical and in elementary words a fool might want to help surprising and precipitous withdrawl in preserving with political fairly than militia causes. also, a militia presence in Iraq has a similar fee to international safe practices as our having a militia presence in Germany, Japan, Italy, Saudi Arabia, South Korea and many different places international. Why is it that having a militia presence in Iraq is this kind of topic for individuals like you? what's it about Iraq it quite is a topic even as our presence in various different places international isn't?

I am not a veteran or anything; just a man with a humble opinion.
The U.S. presence has never been a stabilizing force in Iraq. It was more stable and less chaotic (believe it or not) when Saddam was in power, to be truthful. Why else would our involvement spawn new generations of terrorists and insurgents?

No,the Iraq conflict is the same as Vietnam.
There are no front lines in Iraq, there was none in Vietnam.
It is sporadic fighting because of the insurgency, same as Vietnam.
You can not and will not stabilize a country where you have sporadic fighting with guerrillas.

The military in Iraq is not about a "war on terror" or "fighting for freedoms". Bush's obsession for Iraq is secretly about THIS!...
