...then why not come to church and find out for yourself? There are friendly Christian congregations almost everywhere!
Church is about worshipping God, not judging others. No one is perfect, but by God's awesome love and Jesus' resurrection, anyone can be forgiven and healed.
A church fellowship is also about building strong communities, connecting with neighbors, and making new friends. In addition to the usual Sunday-morning worship, most churches offer extra worship services, Bible-study groups, community service, volunteer opportunities, outreach programs and other activities throughout the week.
Won't you join us this Sunday?

There is no need to answer a generous question in a rude way. That is the reason some Christians go onto Yahoo and preach (and usually don't know the first thing from the Bible). Thank you, 'smiling_sam', for not being obtrusive or offensive in your request, like so many others have. I will be in chapel tomorrow.
Also, I'd like to apologize for all of the rude answers from fellow atheists you received.

This is a good question. If all the foolish people who posted their mocking and hate towards Jesus, had a one minute tour of the real hell that is waiting for those who refuse truth. The churches would be filled to overflowing, people would be praying everywhere not just at church. But by the time they find out hell is real, it will be too late. The time to miss hell is now.

I agree that a good christian church is a blessing to some people. I have found God in other places. He now resides in my heart. I am the temple!

Well unfortunately I have read history books as well as the bible and I am sad to say the bible is a fable. It would be nice if christianity was as it says in the bible but it doesn't pan out that way. Its a work of mythology. Read history and actually learn something.
The crusades, manifest destiny? Great belief you've got there.

Churches are nice community centers where you meet people of your own kind, of your faith, where you can interact with them, find partners for yourself, for your children and of course strengthen your faith which otherwise, without church, would have been week or may have been lost altogether.

Everything that you say is sometimes true.
I am still going, because I love the music and the fellowship. I sing in the choir and meet with my friends at coffee hour, and it is a nice feeling. The religion makes no sense at all, and none of us still takes it seriously, but it is a nice touch and a good moment in the week.
I love it when my Doggie smiles at me like that. They say it's just the way their jaws are shaped that makes them look like they are smiling, but I know they really mean it. I like your Doggie, too.

Good point, friend...it is really sad to hear so many clueless unbelievers who seem to get their knowledge of OUR relationship with the Father though CNN or some liberal kookie book they read.
The only way they will know for sure what it is all about is to ask Jesus to reveal Himself to them....

Sorry, no. Nice to see someone promoting the Church without using fire and brimstone. Kudos.
