I met a strange woman today. She was from my hometown, over 1,000 miles from my present location. Never seen her before in my natural life though. I never formally gave her my name. However, she strangely knew my name and my nickname. I brushed it off in conversation as if I did not hear, but it freaked me out. She told me things about myself that only my mom or I would know, nothing bad, just things no one else knows. She was just an ordinary looking lady. How would an encounter like this make you feel? Have you ever had this happen too?

I was in Japan waiting for the public transportation, and some how a conversation got started and she lived 15 miles from my property, and home. She knew who I was. That is not unusual, anybody I live within 100 miles usually knows about me, do not understand that myself. We had a nice conversation and I never saw her again but I did feel strangly close to her.
I have met angels in some unusual situations (my job meant a lot of dangerous areas was where I was) and picked up on them immediately (once you identify one it is easy to tell but thats another story) and this person I do not think was an angel but yours sounds like it was.

The same thing happens to me every time I to my hometown for a visit which is over 2700 miles away from where I currently reside. My family is well-known. I always encounter some weird person that I never met who knows me and things about my childhood that I never shared. Obviously, that person knows either my mother or father. Well, my mother is more prone to share little stories than my father is. I have also encountered people who know my younger sisters. I have no clue who these people are but they know my sisters so they know things about me. It's a very weird situation. All I do is smile and agree with whatever is being said. When I go home to visit, I tend not to go anywhere alone so that I am cornered by someone I don't know. The last time was quite embarrassing. I ran into someone that I knew before he had gone through puberty. I only remember him as a small child. He saw me somewhere, spoke to me, realized I didn't recognize him and his feelings were hurt. I felt bad but that was 20 years ago that I knew him and I don't visit home regularly.

Did you ask her her name? Does your mom know her?
I once had a woman stop me in traffic out of nowhere, she hopped in my car without barely the car stopping and demanded I take her to the nearest Christian church that I knew of. It took me a bit out of my way, but I did as she asked. (my kids were in the car with me). She also didn't let me get a word in edgewise - just jabbered on about an address and how she needed a church address to sponsor her. She wasn't even carrying a purse that I remember.
When we got to the church, she hopped out of the car just as fast and before I knew it she was gone. We couldn't even see her through the window of the church.
Why?
we won't know the significance of these encounters until we get to heaven. There are many - trust me - that we experience or don't even know are happening.

This has happened to me hundreds of times and it doesn't freak me out anymore. My situation is not normal. Many people keep tabs on me. I went to Germany and I found that many people knew me and could barely speak English. That was a little freaky.

No I haven't. But instead of reacting with fear, I would have asked her how she knew me. For all you know, she could have been a nice lady living down the street with no children of her own. She might have thought of you as being "special."

I never met but I did read about people who could read other peoples' mind. May be there is a brain mechanism which normally is shut to unknown. In some people it is open and they are not normal.

Its not the wrong forum. It could have been an angel or maybe it happened for a reason to get you closer to God.
