I have been going to her for about 4 years now and i really like the way she cuts my hair. I tip her 5 dollars. which is way over 20% but she now knows i tip good and she spends extra time texturizing it and sometimes even puts product in it and and drys it and doesn't charge me. It pays not to be a cheap skate

Back when I had hair, I used to tip about 2-3 bucks.

I'm saving money nowadays on haircuts + tips, as you can see. Just need a razor and shaving gel.

Where I come from--Pacific Northwest--it's 15 for a regular, 12 if you're a senior. I've seen people who pay 15 leave 3 to 5 for a tip. Those who pay 12 leave 3. I guess 20 percent is minimum.

Five to ten dollars is customary. I don't go to the beauty parlors any longer because it was getting ridiculous with the high prices of a cut and style then having to tip. I just let my hair grow long and color my hair myself and have my husband clip it straight across when my ends need trimming! Problem solved.

We all go to Great Clips and for a haircut I usually bring in a coupon.. Great Clips will honor any competitors coupons here in Minnesota.... Then I usually tip $3 per haircut

$5 is good...I think it depends on how well you like it. Remember, if they are not renting the space they only make a commission of that service and the salon is profiting the most from their ability as there is no product cost in a h/c.

It all really depends on who is doing the cutting, did they do a good job? Friendly? Did I have to wait forever to get in the chair? Usually no less than $5.00 but no more than $10.00

Nothing usually. I usually give my regular barber at least a Christmas present though.
