I, for some reason, cannot stand regular coffee without cream or sugar lol. Then again I'm pretty young so I guess I will need time to adjust to it.

Did you guys always like black coffee when you first started drinking coffee?

Nothing whatsoever.

I use instant creamer. I haven't used sugar since I was 19.

I make drip coffee. Good coffee. Like Yuban. Some half and half or instant creamer. Try that with no sugar.

If you drink along get one of those Melita single cup funnels and some filters and good drip coffee. Try Yuban for staters. If you don't like that try Hawaiian.

Get some instant coffee creamer.

Try some Cremora, that's a bit sweeter than the rest.

I couldn't stand black coffee when I first started drinking it at about age 16.I started off with cream and a heaping spoon of sugar. When I was 26 I stopped taking sugar, by the time I was 30 or so I could/would drink coffee black sometimes but.....given a choice I still put cream in. Those International Delight flavors to be exact. I love those things....I think I'm addicted!

When the coffee is black you get the true flavor. Maybe you need to try some different specialty varieties of coffee.

Many people start out with cream and sugar but once you learn to like it sweet it's often hard to give that up.

well, when i started drinking coffee when i was 12, i couldn't stand coffee without cream and a bit of sugar. now, 6 years later, i must have just black coffee. i found that the cream and sugar took away from the full delicate flavors of the coffee itself. i love black coffee!

I like coffee with cream and sugar or honey. But I also can drink it black. It's rare, but occasionally I find a coffee that is so perfect that it's actually better plain black than with anything added.

Coffee with cream and sugar has a stinky smell to me, but then I can't stand milk or any of that stuff. If you like it continue drinking it that way. I'll bet more people like coffee with sugar and cream than people that don't.

I don't like black coffee, either. I must have 1 cream and 1 sugar. And I use instant creamer, because milk or liquid creamer cools my coffee down. I like it super-hot! I think black coffee is an acquired taste.
