The River is the song I sang to my first daughter when she was a baby, instead of your typical lullabies. She's 5 now and still remembers the words, I hope the lyrics will stay with her as she gets older. I'm pregnant again and will most certainly sing it to the new baby as well.

I have heard of it, but I don't remember hearing it. However, I really do not like Garth Brooks so that could be why I don't remember hearing it. Sorry. :)

I would prefer Mr. Brooks go jump in the river and find out for himself. I'm tired of listening to him.

Torch? As in sexual innuendo's? Bloodhound Gang is my famous. Edit: thank you for the examples, Radio. I see that i'm way off with my answer. nicely, i'm in simple terms going to stick with Bloodhound Gang. Is that ok?

Excellent song and very true; makes you think about if you are choosing to sit on the shore or head out into the waves. :)
