Help her by joining a sport that you both can do together and enjoy. Not only will you two get to have fun together, it's a great way to stay fit and healthy. Also eating right, salads, fruits, and veggies are great for you! Also you don't have to eat just that, there's plenty of options out there! She does sound like she should see a doctor too, just to make sure she's doing the rite things to lose weight, seeing that's it's not just a few pounds you're worrying about. Like i'm 13 and don't even weigh 95lbs. yet but since her body type is probably different it varies. She just needs to believe that she can do it, try her hardest, and most importantly, dnt give up! This will help alot! I wish her the best of luck!

She really needs to see a doctor.
Being that young, dieting is just not possible. A doctor could help her figure out the things she NEEDS to keep eating, and the things that she needs to change.
Being active is a huge part of being at a healthy body weight. Just playing soccer or doing a similarly active sport, a few times a week, would probably melt off some pounds.
She needs to keep in mind that she's still growing, and by exercising and not overeating, her body will take care of itself.

The best thing to do is eat salad with out ranch or any dressing, eat some fruits daily, eat your morning cereal, and do push ups and sit ups, do about 10 minutes worth of each, stopping at 2 mins for a 30 second break... also running daily helps the stomach tighten up, so make some kind of path for her to run on like a area she can run through, or as any 10 year old can do, enter some sport.. hope i helped peace

Try not to make a big deal about her weight.
First of all I would take her to the doctor or maybe a chemist and ask what her health weight should be this is a lot heaveir than the weight of a slimming club.
One simple way is serve meals on a smaller plate.
Drink more water.
Fish is good when trying to shed kilos and leave cheese alone .
She is only ten she will naturally shed puppy fat when the time comes.

The foods, which utilize more calories to digest than the calorie foods in fact have, are known as negative calorie foods. It is harder for the body to consume calories from these negative calorie foods. I mean to say that our body has to work hard in order to take out calories from these foods. With this kind of food very small amount of calorie actually turn in to fat, as there is very small amount of calorie available.
You will get the maximum benefit of negative calorie foods when you take them alone without any junk food. There are large number of fruits and vegetables, which are having negative calorie results. Some of these foods are Raspberry, papaya, strawberry, zucchini, Carrot, Beets, and Asparagus.

When you are that young you shouldn't really go on a hardcore diet unless you are REALLY overweight and it sounds to me that your friend isn't REALLY overweight. As long as she eats her fruits and veggies and leaves out the candy. Also, drinking water instead of pop and high sugar juices then she should be find. Maybe she could even walk around the block with you a couple times a week.

Help your friend get active....its most important that she get some physical activity and that she continues to eat..but makes healthier choices. Losing weight fast isnt as important as losing weight "smart"...meaning crash diets often lead to more weight gain later. Encourage her to do activities with you (like turn on the radio and dance...go rollerblading....take a walk or bike ride).
If she continues to obsess about her weight or stops eating....let an adult know right away...you dont want her to get and eating disorder.

she should eat when she's hungry, stop when she's full, excersise at least once every two days (working up to a sweat), and she will be just as healthy as she should be.
Also some kids go through ( for lack of a better word) "fat-phase". She could grow out of her weight.

She should eat her biggest meal at breakfast, her 2nd biggest meal at lunch, and just a light salad at dinner. She needs to cut out the sugary desserts and sweets in her diet. Eat more vegetables and less fat. Avoid fried foods like french fries. Avoid fast food hamburgers...but lean beef is okay.
She should do cardio exercise in the evenings for at least 45 minutes. It takes 45 minutes before the body uses up its available energy reserves and starts to burn fat.
