She seems interested in the toilet, knows that the tp goes in the bowl, and knows where the potty comes from.......just is reluctant to actually do it. She thinks her potty chair is a step ladder!! Please help...

A lot of kids show interest in the toliet LONG before they are anywhere near to be potty trained. Don't push it..if she potty trains this young she is more apt to back track...by going back into diapers at some point and not re-potty training until late. (like 3 1/2 or 4) Be patient, she'll let you know when she wants to give it a shot! Just be encouraging and explain what everything is for now.

18 months is too early. If shes acting interested thats a great step for when she will be ready. Her muscles have to be fully developed to learn to potty train. I think that at 18 months they are not fully developed yet.

too early imo.. of course encourage her about it, and show it to her, cant hurt her to sit on it.. my son at 20 mos old does all of these things and has for a few months but i certainly do NOT expect him to potty train, nor do i pressure him to do so for a WHILE. This is the third one i'm training and IMO starting them early just means you're doing it longer...
