Describe and explain three common characteristics in the prophetic careers of Moses, Zoroaster, and Mohammed.

Why is Zoroastrian dualism important in the development of Judeo-Christian thought?

Why could Mohammed not tolerate the worship of idols?

What would a Muslim likely say if a non-Muslim tried to belittle him because he worships Mohammed?

Until reading your question, I had not seen the name Zoroaster before. So I did some quick reading in Wikipedia.

The three are all believed to have received the words they spoke directly from God. As such, they are revered in their respective religions a very important people.

However, the Judeo-Christian movement does not generally recognize Zoroaster as a Biblical person, but that does not mean that he in fact was ordained by God to be a witness.

Zorastrian dualism is more important to the Muslim faith as it is considered (at least by the Judeo-Christians) to be the true method that Mohammed came to his teachings.

So there is a lot that we could learn about these three personalities from recorded history.

As for your last question, I hope that no one make fun of anyone else’s faith. However, if someone should confront a deeply focused Muslim - does the word beheading mean anything to you! Either way, it would probably not be pretty. My brother-in-law is Muslim while I am a Christian.

The Muslim tradition puts a lot more emphasis on its symbols of faith, especially the Koran. Whereas a Christian counts being confronted about his/her beliefs in Christ as a sacrifice to Christ and will not fight back. Christians also do not revere the Bible but hold it as the inspired word of God to be listened to instead of worshiped for what it represents.

Another question you might want to ask is how was Jesus the same, or better yet, different form
Moses, Zoroaster, and Mohammed. I think that you might find some very interesting differences from the three you asked about and Jesus.

Why would Jesus choose a cross, an instrument of a very shameful death to “pay for the sins of the world”? Most religions preach that man/woman must earn forgiveness from God whereas Christian believe that Jesus paid for their sins and they try to live Christ like lives in love of God. So why hasn’t Zorastrian dualism picked up on this significant difference?

Hope that this helps in your study.

First of all, Muslims do not worship Muhammad (pbuh). It is a common misconception. We don't treat Muhammad (pbuh) the way Christians treat Jesus, as we believe all prophets are humans sent to us to bring guidance from Allah. We only worship and pray to Allah. We have the highest respect for Muhammad (pbuh) and all the other prophets because they set good examples for us.

Muhammad (pbuh) could not tolerate people worshipping idols because that means they are not worshipping the One and Only God Almighty and they are associating partners with Him. Allah continues to bless us everyday, so if we pray to idols it's like we're not being grateful. That's why :)

If anyone belittles me for my faith in Islam, it does not bother me as long as you don't mock my religion or any of my Prophets. We are all entitled to our own beliefs. Islam is for me as, _____ (whatever faith you belong to) is for you.

Needing help with your homework?

Theses are fairly technical questions. It's been a while since I read about Zoroastianism, and the Islamic questions sound as if there are very specific answers. Google the answers, or if all else fails, check your textbook.

Muhammed was born almost 600 years after Christ.

Then he tried to re-write history and falsify the teachings of Christ:
Muslims (and Islam) say Jesus was a prophet but they reject all His teachings ...

They reject Christ's divinity;
they reject his claim to be the Son of God;
they reject his death on the cross...
they reject His ressurrection..
They reject Jesus is the Christ/ Messiah...
Need I say more...?

Don't be deceived. The Islamic god is totally different than the God of Jesus Christ .

The Bible calls Muhammed a False prophet....
"Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is anti-Christ, that denies the Father and the Son. He that denies the Son, the same has not the Father." (I John 2:22)
