we belong to god, god doesn't belong to us. there is one god and he/she/it claims to love us all equally. it is us who think we are privilaged in god eyes

Love your lead in! Refreshingly satirical. Just got into this category, & it's certainly controversial & mostly one sided. I'd answered the "DO WESTERN DEMOCRACIES THINK THEY CAN..." & after scanning the answers already received, itching to respond to some of them. I lost 5 points by asking how I could do this, but guess I wasn't very clear since some people thought I wanted to know how to answer a question! I did get some good advice, but I'm still on level 1 & can't vote. All that aside--you are so on target. (I hope you look up my answer to see how I think about this somewhat pompous attitude, (to put it in a civil fashion). I'll put the words a little differently, but isn't it something like: Everyone is wrong but thee & me, & sometimes I wonder about thee??? Have a good day--or evening, wherever you are!

Wrong. The Bible says there are many gods and many lords. At 2 Corinthians 4:4, Satan is called a god. Jehovah is the only true God. See John 17:3.

John 3:16
"This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn't go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person's failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him

I think we are mostly all going after the same truth/light, we as humans just have to complicate matters, call it different names and make assumptions about what it meant and what is written in books, instead of realizing it is all the same and none of us really know the what has happened or will happen and that we should be just treating each other kindly and stop analyzing.

No....It is the God of Jesus...
" I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life; no man can come to the Father except through me". -- Jesus Christ

" Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved". (Acts 4:12)

He loves all, but that doesn't mean He is recognized by all.

That is absolutely false ... and true. There is only one God, no matter if you call Him Allah or Jehovah. He has books for each of us to follow, each built for that particular flock.

I would no more tell someone that "their" God is wrong than I would commit murder. That's a completely unloving thing to do, as well as in essence saying that "my" God is wrong, being that "they" are one and the same lol.

What you said here reminds me of the flip side. A comment once made by Groucho Marx. "I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member."

no, because that leads to some very self-centered thinking. i try to be open and listen to what other people have to say, but in the end i've got to take a stand for something.

My God loves all!

He sent his only Son to die on the cross, so by you accepting him you will be forgiven from your sins and on the third day he rose to life!

If you reject Jesus, how then can you go to heaven?
